Jan 4, 2012 - Actually, this song was written by Julia for Laguna. The song was specifically written for the game. The reason it is used for Squall and Rinoa is, for one, because love is one of the main themes of Final Fantasy VIII. Also, Laguna is strongly hinted as being Squall's father, while Julia was explained to be Rinoa's father.This is a beautiful song. If you haven't heard it I recommend giving lonlonjp's fingerstyle rendition a listen. It's amazing.

May 19, 2012 - Her primary language is Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin - which she performed this song in before doing an English version). Did anyone stop to think that pointing out such trivialties as to how one performs a song is a slap in the face on par with racism? This young woman does a damn good job at giving life to these lyrics. I'm straight up hardcore death metal head and I cry each time I hear it. Peace buddy.
