May 16, 2012 - Actually, I've been told that, while I am painfully opinionated, I am borderline emotionally comatose, and not at all expressive. Why would anyone tell others that they are "unafraid to be vulnerable," as opposed to simply that they are invulnerable? Try using words in proper context....Do you read palms, too?

marrmoff Says:

May 16, 2012 - None of them. Just an odd band name.

bathorydn Says:

May 18, 2012 - I've seen doctors and other high paid professionals with full sleeves and more. Pick up a tattoo magazine and educate yourself. Besides, making a load of money is not directly conducive to a happy, satisfied life. Plenty of people are just happy being themselves and making enough money to get them through life without being overly greedy. Tattoos do not close doors; ignorant minds do.

bathorydn Says:

May 18, 2012 - And part of education is showing children that many types of people from many backgrounds and walks of life exist and interact.

ccryan75 Says:

May 18, 2012 - OK then, if you don't want an "ignorant mind" who happens to be chief of surgery, CEO of a company or bank, head of a law firm or a business owner to close a door on you, then don't be stupid enough to cover yourself in tats! Otherwise, you just might have to convince yourself that you're happy with "just enough to get through."

bathorydn Says:

May 18, 2012 - I did not say "JUST enough to get through" I said "enough to get them through life without being OVERLY GREEDY." You twisted my words. Exotic vacations are not part of every human's agenda. My husband and I make plenty of money to do what we want to do, have new cars, own our own house, and are definitely not "rich" but have plenty to keep ourselves happy. Closing doors does not happen for me; I wear long sleeves to interviews so that I can't be pre-judged by ignorant folk like you.

ccryan75 Says:

May 18, 2012 - Exactly! You wear long sleeves to hide your tattoos. You know where you'd be if you didn't... keep staying true to yourself though.

bathorydn Says:

May 19, 2012 - I am true to myself by being conscious of ignorance. I wear long sleeves for a month or so until people have gotten a chance to know me as a person; then once they see me in short sleeves they can't stereotype me because they already know me and know that I'm a smart, caring, hard working person who just happens to have a little bit of physical decoration. People judge your appearance less when they have already gotten to know your personality. I adapted to people's ignorance by bypassing it.

inbredconservative Says:

May 22, 2012 - thumbs up if you are wearing a baby on your head

Cuwda1975 Says:

May 24, 2012 - Dont listen to these close minded people! The tats are awesome, never hide who you are!

levar1979 Says:

May 27, 2012 - How did a Sesame Street video about ABCs jump from that to a debate about tattoos? The who argument really isn't worth it. Just enjoy the video.

joshuahughesdesign Says:

May 27, 2012 - John 7:24 Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.

ccryan75 Says:

May 27, 2012 - Ah yes, Joshua, judge with righteous judgement indeed. Do not forget: 1 Corinthians 3:16 "Don't you know that you yourselves are God's temple and that God's Spirit lives in you? If anyone destroys God's temple, God will destroy him; for God's temple is sacred, and you are that temple." A well as: Leviticus 19:28 "Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print any marks upon you."

joshuahughesdesign Says:

May 27, 2012 - Matthew 6:14 "For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. 15 But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.guess what, its the new millenium and people have tattoos and they are not any more or less then anyone else. get over yourself and try and use your obvious bible verse googling skills for good and not evil.

ccryan75 Says:

May 27, 2012 - Josh buddy, nobody's doing evil against you, relax. How I got into this was with one simple but true statement: When you choose to get visible tattoos, in this case, sleeve tattoos, many doors of opportunity are closed to you. Whether that's good or bad or due to ignorance or not, is not my problem. Just stating a fact. Somebody else started with the religious stuff. Apparently, people here with tattoos are hyper-sensitive and emotional and take offense all too easily. Poo. Poo.

joshuahughesdesign Says:

May 27, 2012 - Not a "fact" my friend, this girl is on tv, performing on one of the most popular tv shows for kids of all time, getting paid to do what she loves, and youre saying she has less opportunity then someone without tattoos? Looks like shes doing ok, and the only people that would keep those doors closed are people like you that cant see passed something that has nothing to do with their ability or qualifications. No hypersensitivity here just someone who looks at the resume before the face.Try it

ccryan75 Says:

May 27, 2012 - You're talking about the entertainment industry! LOL. OK, I don't normally insult people, but you're the ignorant fool here. I'll bet you'd like to call me a bigot too? What I said was a fact. This girl got lucky. If she didn't hitch her star to the right band, she'd just be another painted bimbo or a starving artist, BTW: Everyone looks at the resume first. Then when the interview comes, you better look the part and you know it!

ccryan75 Says:

May 27, 2012 - There are jobs that you will never hired for, with visible tattoos. Never. Fact of life. That's the society in which you live. Don't whine about it. Accept and move on. End.

roddyjen Says:

May 27, 2012 - Do musicians/celebrities get paid to be on Sesame Street? It's a non-profit organization, but who knows. It does seem like the show tends to feature guests who are extremely well-known (or were well-known at the time). I wonder if there are less-desirable entertainers who want to be on the show but don't make the cut. That would be hurtful. :-/
