As I stared at her beautiful frame I was just moved to tears by what an amazing gift from God she really is. She was born with neurofibromatosis and is considered legally blind. Some would have advised while she was still in the womb that I should have had an abortion because she isn't "perfect". That would have been a tragedy. As this song has been passed around it has been used in many different ways- pro-life rallies, baby dedications, Mother's Day events, weddings, and as a simple lullaby sung over a sleeping baby. My hope is that this song would inspire all mothers to pray over their babies, no matter how old, and to see the value of human life. I keep on cryin' everytime I hear this song...My husband and I are so blessed for havin' the greatest gift in our life, that is havin' a beautiful baby girl after more than three years of waiting. She's 2 months old now. Everytime she fells asleep, I hum this song for her as a lullaby and I always get' teary-eyed as I look on her face...TO all mothers, let's offer the best love we can give to our children for they are the greatest gift from God...
