May 22, 2012 - Live music is best. Loved the 70s with seeing shows like AC/DC, Jethro Tull, Cheap Trick, Tom Petty and many others. Seen plenty of great shows in the 80s, 90s, 00s and working on the 10s. Caught AWOL Nation recently. Enjoyed Dope, Seven Dust, Zakk Wylde and AC/DC again not long ago. It is all good music. The great thing about live shows are that nearly everyone is definitely there to hear bands that they like and to just have a damn good time. Long live rock and whoever you like.

May 24, 2012 - I always found it weird to have three lead singers but it worked very well for them.

tryithere Says:

May 24, 2012 - And you found this music when you were 13 which was back in your youth.

tryithere Says:

May 24, 2012 - And then she died.

May 25, 2012 - Why do we not hear more from these cats? They had more #1 songs than any other band ever. Something like 43 #1 songs. What dat 'bout?

cubswin3838 Says:

May 25, 2012 - Just like The Mac. They just had a lot of songwriters. However, Chuck Negron's drug use really hurt the band. He had a MAJOR heroin addiction.

TheColdWeatherPilots Says:

May 26, 2012 - We don't do that many drugs anymore.

May 26, 2012 - Each one of these three guys would've won American Idol.

May 26, 2012 - so true. this was a time when people called "musicians" actually played and sang without the aid of digital software.

May 26, 2012 - Apparently there have been rumors going around that one of the Three Dog Night singers has died.I have heard this floating around for some time now.But I have been doing some digging on the internet and I am finding that all 3 are still alive. They all are supposedly tirning 70 yrs old this year.Negron did have a drug problem but that seems to be over now.Even though he isn't singing with Dog he's still around.if anyone knows more than I please comment. But from what I see I am right and also glad

May 26, 2012 - Cool band

Boospoochie Says:

May 27, 2012 - It was the bass player, Joe Schermie, that died. He had a fatal heart attack in 2002 and died at the age of 56.

May 27, 2012 - Thanks dude.I love 3 dog night,or at least I used to when I was a kid.I still love the songs like most of us that grew up listening to them but as time advances musical tastes seem to change some too.But nothing will ever beat the classic from the 50' 60's 70's and even the 80's.When we hit the 90's the music died.So I keep the classics alive by listening to them here.I'd love to see all 3 dogs singing together again. One of my favs is Woman.

May 28, 2012 - You're very welcome! However... I am a dudette! :) When the Beatles broke up, I was rescued by Three Dog Night. I enjoyed their music immensely and saw them probably 7 times in concert. They were an excellent live band for sure. I would like it too if they could mend fences, but that doesn't seem likely. I would definitely love to see them again if the opportunity presents itself and YES! "Woman" ROCKS!!!

thecoolestdad Says:

May 28, 2012 - Well thank ya Miss Dudette!I have never seen Dog in concert but wanted to though.I had and might still the album that Woman was on along with Mama and Out In The Country too. That's another cool song.I need to find these songs here on you tube and convert them and save them on my computer.I have a lot saved already,it's time to add some Dog.Chat with ya soon Miss Dudette!LOL.

Boospoochie Says:

May 28, 2012 - Hey Coolestdad~the album you're looking for, containing "Woman," "Mama Told Me Not to Come," & "Out in the Country" are all on "It Ain't Easy". Just another great album by Three Dog Night. I hope you're able to find it. I have both album covers; the original and the more rare "Wizards of Orange" album cover. Both are depicted on Wikipedia if you haven't seen them before. :)
