Mar 22, 2012 - Just bought it, also thanks to seeing your review more than one year ago, what to say, it is a true gem, everyone buy it if you like action rpgs, this is awesome in both story and gameplay, videos cannot give you the feeling you get when playing this, it is a simple gameplay as with few rules but that gives it a lot of freedom, and it is fast as in "not slow", it has no dead times, you get into the dungeon and BAM, kill stuff, you don't want to kill? Ok no problem just run away.Just buy it ok?

This game had me hooked literally from the beginning to the end. Most games can't hold my attention for more than a couple hours these days, so that's gotta count for something when Ys Seven caused me to lose sleep haha.

I haven't played too many on ps3 or pc ,,, just checked some out. But seems like PSP rpg's cut the bs and give you the goods. No? Am I wrong? I'm a big fan of portable games so I might a bit biased. May 20, 2012 - I don't think you're wrong in some cases. I'm thinking about buying this right now because of the drought of Vita games at the moment. Sony really knows how to blow a potentially good thing.Also, Ys Book 1 and 2 on PC-Engine CD ROM (Turbografx 16/CD ROM in the US) wasn't the first in the series? I don't remember a Ys game for Sega Master System in the US or Japan.
