May 23, 2012 - One of the things I have seen a great many writers screw up on is that they do not check the pass for references, Example in comics one super hero can pick up a mountain with one hand then in the future that same character has to strain to pick up a building and usually they offer no explanation for it In the first hulk movie with all the endless references to the hulks strength they made it so that he had to strain to pick up that bolder! This is why shows are going down hill so badly...

May 23, 2012 - Voyager came after TNG chronologically, but in the timeline the last episode of TNG "All good Things" happened WAY after Voyager. This is evident alone from watching Nemesis where Janeway is an Admiral having already returned from the delta quadrant while Picard is still captain of the Enterprise E.

May 24, 2012 - nobody can travel faster than warp 10 and as u said its definitly not a barrier. warpspeed is defined on an exponential scala. warp 10 mens u are everywhere at the same time and that means as u have just begun the journey u are already at your destination because u are everywhere.in the original series there was another scale for warpspeed in the time of tng the federation modified this scale, so i could imagine that the scale has been modified one more time to make clear its another timeperiod

Maybe warp 15 was set to be the transwarp threshold instead, according to Bormanis, and warp 13 in that scale would have been the equivalent of warp 9.95 of the previous scale.

May 27, 2012 - How fast was the shipping propelled when Kes hurtled Voyager through BORG space, essentially knocking off ten years of their journey home? That definitely exceeded warp 10.Every series had horrible episodes. Comparing some of TNG's best with an unimpressive episode from another series is kind of unfair. What I find really irritating is when an episode within the same series grinds against the canon that it itself established. "Squeedow" below made a good point too! Lol!

May 29, 2012 - The maximum Warp speed is factor 10, it is infinite velocity, when you're traveling at Warp 10, you can occupy the whole galaxy, you can be everywhere at once all at the same time. Why they travel at Warp 13 like it's Warp 3 in the TNG episode 'All Good Things' can be explained. That was set in the future, and in the future they developed a new measuring system for warp speed. The threshold is still factor 10 in the original system. Kirk's Enterprise had exceeded Warp 14. Only Kirk can do that.

May 29, 2012 - They even said in TNG that the maximum speed was warp 10. So TNG contradicted themselves. And how about in the early episode when they went off the scale for velocity and traveled through 2 other galaxies. So this is you being an idiot and not even paying attention to the story. Also, the future part for TNG in All Good Things took place in a Q interfered future and a future which was beyond when Voyager would not have known they were going Warp 13 supposedly which would make it not a plot hole.
