Title: Blaming Fast Food

Added: Nov 26, 2007

Author: FatHeadMovie

Duration: 1:34

Description:
From the comedy documentary "Fat Head," a comedian's reply to "Super Size Me." Morgan Spurlock wants you think it's McDonald's fault we've gotten fatter. I think that's moronic. You can gain weight or lose weight eating any type of food; it's about the choices you make. So I ate nothing but fast food for a month -- including plenty of cheeseburgers and fried chicken strips -- and lost weight.

Dec 8, 2010 - Responses on the blog wouldn't be a fair evaluation. My attitudes about food, nutrition and personal responsibility are frequent topics in my posts, and therefore fans of my blog are pre-disposed to agree with me.

Dipstikk Says:

Dec 8, 2010 - That's why we have private messaging!

Dipstikk Says:

Dec 8, 2010 - Must feel awfully safe, knowing you'll be sending this to a bunch of people who will nod their heads for you without a second thought. I guess if they're conservatives as well, then that's kind of how they are. I would personally prefer a place where people shared various ideas. But wait, that's not the case, as I've seen several blog comments that have taken opposing views.Oh, well. At least if they storm my profile like righties tend to do, I'll know who sent them.

FatHeadMovie Says:

Dec 8, 2010 - Never sent one. Not even sure where to find it.

Dipstikk Says:

Dec 8, 2010 - Oh, that's okay, I'll tell you.-Go to the profile of the person you want to send a private message to.-Look for their personal avatar, where it says, "add as friend," "block," and "send message."-Click "Send message." Type your message in and send away! No need to worry about URLs or anything! There you are! Now you shouldn't have any problem letting me know the second that blog post goes up!

Dipstikk Says:

Dec 8, 2010 - @FatHeadMovie @FatHeadMovie You'd better hurry, though. If you wait too long, the time stamp on the posts will go from minutes to hours, fuddling their context and making this whole thing look like a clusterfuck of nonsense. But hey, if you let that happen, then you could take that lack of context and spin it to make me look like some kind of madman, and I don't think I need to remind you how successful lying and spinning has been for you throughout our little argument today.

Dipstikk Says:

Dec 8, 2010 - Hey, I quoted you twice! Haha!

FatHeadMovie Says:

Dec 8, 2010 - Not sending it to anyone. Posting it. Writers with strong opinions attract an audience of like-minded readers; always have, always will. There's nothing underhanded about it, and I both welcome and post dissenting opinions to my blog. My readers aren't "righties," but most of them believe in personal responsibility when it comes to diet. If that sounds "righty" to you, then it's not flattering towards the left. I don't post profiles and don't encourage storming anyone.

Dipstikk Says:

Dec 8, 2010 - Well, whatever you do, don't leave me out of the loop! If I'm going to be mentioned by name somewhere then I want to be a part of it, arrogant as I am. ;)

FatHeadMovie Says:

Dec 8, 2010 - Next post due tomorrow. Just google 'fat head movie' and you'll find the blog. I don't need to take any of this out of context. I believe in the old adage that when your opponent in a debate is making a fool of himself, get out of the way.

Dipstikk Says:

Dec 8, 2010 - Already found it, as I'm fairly tech savvy. I'll see you there!

FatHeadMovie Says:

Dec 8, 2010 - I don't have any interest in encouraging people to find you and swamp your site or profile or whatever. Names will be changed to protect the ... whatever.

dkswede Says:

Jan 1, 2011 - I'm glad to see that someone actually understand basic economics and consumer sovereignty. Now a days its just a bunch "corporations made me do it"-bollocks. I would recommend that Mr.Dipstikk picks up Economics in one lesson by henry hazlitt

FatHeadMovie Says:

Jan 1, 2011 - Great book.

dkswede Says:

Jan 5, 2011 - an essential read and great way to start if one wants to learn. When I eventually have children I will make sure they read it. Seriously the biggest problem today with economics is that everyone seems to forget "the lesson" and believe the fallacies without question!

MelkorHimself Says:

Mar 17, 2011 - For those who don't want to search, "Economics In One Lesson" by Henry Hazzlit:w w w( . )hacer( . )org/pdf/Hazlitt00( . )pdfRemove all parentheses and spaces.

lennic95 Says:

Mar 21, 2011 - Wow this is stupid. It's the person's addicted brain that forces the person to overeat. I'm not a fast food eater but I can tell you it's because of the additives and the dopamine.

FatHeadMovie Says:

Mar 21, 2011 - All of which are in lots of foods people buy at the grocery store. Blaming restaurants for selling the same junk people buy in stores is what's stupid.

rpmangin Says:

Apr 3, 2011 - Interestingly, I've heard that it isn't the TASTE of french fries that people are addicted to, it's the SMELL. The mouth cannot differentiate between taste and smell.

FatHeadMovie Says:

Apr 3, 2011 - Well, they smell awesome.

hitssquad Says:

Apr 28, 2011 - "I'm glad to see that someone actually understand basic economics and consumer sovereignty. Now a days its just a bunch "corporations made me do it"-bollocks."Have you read this?: google. com/search?q=predictably+irrational+dan+arielyIt details some interesting consumer-psychology experiments.

kev3d Says:

May 14, 2011 - Good video. After reading many of the comments I am struck with a sense of dismay however, as it is nearly impossible to believe that people such as Dipstikk actually exist. That is to say people who are so stupid and childish, it almost defies all reasoning. Ive been arguing for years that, while some items that fast food joints offer are not the best option, consumers know what they want better than anyone else.(Govt included)

toychristopher Says:

Jun 1, 2011 - Wow I didn't know they put dopamine in food!

lennic95 Says:

Jun 2, 2011 - Dopamine is a chemical found in the brain. The brain activates it when its' pleasure centres are stimulated, making you feel good. They don't put it in food.
