May 6, 2012 - ouch! it must be hurt. is it sport? why don't they wear something like gloves in boxing to reduce damage
GFLogos Says:
May 7, 2012 - Mute this clip, open a new tab and play from youtube "MWM - Kyokushin". Awesome!

May 7, 2012 - punches - no, kicks - yes
brentlion Says:
May 8, 2012 - Actually, i think all of the olympic styles should have head and body gear. People can`t keep getting knocked out, some likely brain damaged, or with other long lasting injuries. You need some protection.

May 10, 2012 - Dude, props to you, It takes a lot of balls and knowledge to say that you just said. And when people say that TKD is simillar to Kyokushin it's maybe because Osayama's real name was Choi Bae Dal and he was a korean man who learned Karate just like all the first TKD practicioners. But as you said, its no the art, it's the fighter that makes the difference. Also there are a lot of factors that state the outcome of the fight such as concentration, opportunity and intelligence to read your opponent.

May 11, 2012 - Its not full contact if the rules can be garnered through taps the the body or head. I know, I do sports karate :D
JacqueHoliday Says:
May 15, 2012 - True it's more about the fighter rather than the style. But still there are styles which suite you more, depending upon your mental and psychological build up. Shotokan has taught me so much but somehow i feel kyokushin is more aggressive than any other style/ form.
LarKanon Says:
May 16, 2012 - actually gloves reduces only external damage, because when your wear a glove it makes your punches heavier.

May 23, 2012 - I did this style for about 7 years & is really good physically & mentally for you but I do feel there is a bit of brainwashing in the the style as it is a way of life but you do need to have a life & a job to survive these days.
trollingmaximus Says:
May 24, 2012 - Ossu from ibiza !
pastropmal Says:
May 25, 2012 - You have not understood the concept of it being 'a way of life'.
Thomas40509 Says:
May 25, 2012 - I just love it !
Model007 Says:
May 26, 2012 - I do understand way of life as I started at 13 and did it for a long time but at the same time I own my house and business outright & Im financially secure. How about you??? Im getting back into training now. Believe me I have lived life and understand life not just doing martial arts. A guy I trained with named Judd Reid has made it his life but I can guarantee you there only very few people like him and who have that talent. He just did the 100 man kumite last year.
pastropmal Says:
May 26, 2012 - But it being the way of life is a lot more than just practicing a lot. As I see it it is mostly a mental attitude and a philosophy of life, and at the same time of course the actual commitment to training. But why not, some people think it simply as committing their whole life in training, nothing wrong with that.
JacqueHoliday Says:
May 26, 2012 - yes that is my personal opinion!
mezzio808 Says:
May 26, 2012 - its a fact I agree
