Mar 25, 2012 - You sound like the ones talking about Munch and Van Gogh. How about some education or understanding?

mateo2711ify Says:

Mar 26, 2012 - Yeah I know this guy inspired a lots of guitar shredders, musicians in general and introduced this world with guitar speed(not accuracy as well) and higher tempos so everybody must give this guy a credit BUT i just didn't like this, that's all.

Apr 2, 2012 - well..i know this performance is not the best of blackmore,i admit he didn't play well in this performance, but did you ever see the other performance of his solo? like in watch?v=1vmXutNKVbM ?in that performance and many other performance, you can see that blackmore is a fantastic player, both musically and technically (although not as good as shredders as batio, becker, etc).I think his main weakness is his temper problems, which often affects his playing a lot.

captpicard100 Says:

Apr 4, 2012 - Absolute, 100%, total, complete, and utter proof Nigel Tufnel was based on Blackmore turning it up to 11 and doing ridiculous and completely unnecessarily long and self indulgent guitar solos

McCartyrocks Says:

Apr 4, 2012 - Guns and Roses don't deserve to be in the Rock and Roll HOF. They are a direct rip off of early Aerosmith. Deep Purple, Jethro Tull, Yes, Thin Lizzy, UFO, Grand Funk Railroad, Kansas, Kiss, NONE are in the HOF and WAY more deserving than Guns and Roses.

McCartyrocks Says:

Apr 4, 2012 - He didn't just "inspire" modern "shredders." He introduced classical guitar scaling to rock guitar. Every modern guitar player is what Ritchie did first. Eddie Van Halen deserves pretty much zero credit for innovation, because all he did was rehash Ritchie. Blackmore IS the modern rock guitar. Further more, if you wish to examine modern guitar players who actually innovated from what Ritchie did, you need to listen to Criss Oliva, Mark Reale, and Ronnie Montrose.

Apr 12, 2012 - The American music media can shove the Hall of Fame up their ignorant asses. Just check who's not in it......scandalous!

DokktorDeth Says:

May 4, 2012 - Well written, todzilla; it was a constant battle out there between Blackers, Paice and Jon Lord. Each virtuoso musician were constantly trying to outdo the others; this led to some of the greatest and most original; rock music this planet has ever witnessed.

May 15, 2012 - I seen em twice on this P.S. tour and in both shows Ritchie was Great. He's doing what he feels. He is a genius. I've yet to see another guitarist have the graceful fingering on the fret-board like Ritchie.
