Apr 10, 2012 - if you watch tutorials and practice alot then yes it can be easy at times. I have a very musical background but im not convinced that it helped me in my djing but i don't do turntablism, I do mixing. If your looking into doing turntablism then I don't know much.sorry

Apr 19, 2012 - Is it hard for a 13 year old to start Djing?
DubSpot Says:
Apr 20, 2012 - It's actually better to start learning to DJ sooner then later, there are many young DJ's coming out these days making a name for themselves for example Madeon and Porter Robinson. We offer DJ classes to everyone regardless of their age, so come stop by our open house every sunday from 11am-1pm to see for yourself. We would be glad to teach you, we have many young DJ's and Producers being taught here at Dubspot already.

Apr 24, 2012 - I'm getting in to this stuff but I only play drum and bass, and I'm finding it really hard to pull back any less than 2 bars because of how much more I have to backspin a 45rpm record. Any tips for scratching / beat juggling faster paced music?

May 8, 2012 - pretty sure it was technically Dj kool herc who started that. but yes grandmasterflash is a safe catch all <3
ElectronicIntervals Says:
May 13, 2012 - Vinyl is the material that a record is made from, although vinyl is often used as a name for records also.
Jerrico71 Says:
May 13, 2012 - Hey man. I have a really good original song that is screaming for some subtle DJ work and needing a good "smooth" beat! I am more than willing to leave the majority of the creativity to the DJ/Remixer. When you hear the tune, you'll know exactly what I am talking about; your cogs will turn trust me. It's hard as hell to find someone willing to take this on. Can you?
DJmonAtomic Says:
May 20, 2012 - yeah man i read that flash took it from herc and made it more musically formulaic, from what ive read herc was doing this but randomly and so therefore out of time sometimes...i would imagine
