Description:
pradal serey clinche break and elbowwww.Neakta.com intermediate/advance Pradal Serey clinche work. Requested by pradal serey fans from overseas who can't come and train. Sam Lok was taught by 3 grandmasters and father to preserve khmer kun boran(ancient khmer martial arts). The first and only school in Canada that offers Khmer Boran style of fighting. This technique is used when only one hand is in the inside dominate position.1. inside hand overlaps opponent arm, lock near the upper elbow2. outside hand scrapes opponents eyes to blind them, at the same time pinch opponents hand with your jaw and shoulder together bringing your hand to the other side of opponents head.3. your arm hooking the elbow should then grab your other arm as you overlap by the biceps4. squeeze your abs and twist with your arm forcing your opponent down3. knee to the face or floating rib

Feb 1, 2009 - lock the elbow first, then the other free arm you scratch the eyes, hook the neck and make sure you kkep your torso tight as you twist to break his centre of gravity then throw a knee.

Feb 4, 2009 - your partner isnt even using the proper plum position, hes barely holding you.
Thongsai Says:
Feb 7, 2009 - That would not work against a real fighter.
NeakTaCom Says:
Feb 8, 2009 - your right he's not, it was meant to show the action. As you get better your partner then can get into a tighter clinch and get closer with hips in.
NeakTaCom Says:
Feb 8, 2009 - it's already been used by pradal serey fighters but not seen often.

Feb 10, 2009 - Yo, this shit tight! This stuff works, but the time to do it is essential man! Just like grappling, you can't always get an arm lock just by trying once. Eventually the opponent will get careless and you can execute the move you have in mind! Man, I want to fight some punks now! This Pradal Serey stuff is tight! I'm digging it!!!
Thongsai Says:
Feb 10, 2009 - Like I said it wont work against a "real fighter". expedition2006, have you ever fought in the cage or in a ring with full muay thai rules? In a fight where the guy is cranking the shit out of your neck not giving you a inch to manuver. As soon as you get a chance to breathe his knees are ripping the shit out of your ribs. I know because my school is a strong clinching school. We have fought all over North America, every one we face thinks they have counters to our clinch-but it never works
Sabong Says:
Feb 10, 2009 - history shows that thailand culture came from cambodia and muay thai came from pradal serey. Just because mauy thai marketed it first doesnt mean its from thailand. plus you wouldnt do the move everytime u would wait till the right time, just like BJJ triangle

Feb 10, 2009 - 50% half price so it would be $56.50(we started off as non profit for the community), first and last months are paid up front total $113 and for a 6 month contract. first 2 months are getting used to the training we do, 3rd&4th month your picking up and ready to spar, 5th&6th you'll know for sure if you want to stay. And if not we can recommend another club to fit your needs.Right now as many classes as you want but we recommend every other day.
NeakTaCom Says:
Feb 10, 2009 - we're a striking school we have a 35 yr experience boxing coach who trains fighters for international and Olympic. We want to preserve the culture and art form since its really rare. We teach traditional khmer grappling and wrestling as you advance. We have students in other clubs who grapple and we roll often after the 1&half hr classes. But we mainly teach tatics in fighting, khmer clinches, kicking, punching, knees, elbows & headbutts We have people in yrs of muay thai loving the training
NeakTaCom Says:
Feb 10, 2009 - nice keep it up. Hope to see you guys in MMA.
Thongsai Says:
Feb 11, 2009 - Yes, maybe it did come from Cambodia, however I'm not saying Pradal Serey doesn't work. I'm saying what is being taught in this video wouldn't work in most any real fights...thats all I'm saying. I'm part of an organization that promotes pradal serey, muay thai, muay lao, ect... But I would call out a move that doesn't work from any of these backrounds.
Thongsai Says:
Feb 11, 2009 - We fight MMA also-and even MMA guys have a hard time clinching with us.Look up Joshua Sitthongsai, that's 1 of my am fighters going against a MMA fighter.Tomi Massey, hes 1 of my Am fighters who holds 155title at Desert Brawl mma.And Lance Wipf, he's 1 of my pro fighters who KO'd Kelly Dullanty(fought in UFC)in 9 sec. in MMA. we fight MMA,my theory goes with that too. By the way, I was one of the first authentic Muay Thai trainers to have my fighters compete in MMA in the states.
Sabong Says:
Feb 11, 2009 - the pradal serey school trains GSP!
Thongsai Says:
Feb 12, 2009 - That's cool! Strange I never seen a khmerin GSP corner at the UFC . All I heard washe had Kru Nester train him in muay thai. Well I dont want to play the droppingname game. But my brother trains Uriah Faber. At every fight on tv W.E.C u will see him in the corner. His name is Master Thonglor Amnartsena.
khmerDM Says:
Feb 20, 2009 - every move thast u do in a fight it always a 50 50 chance that u will get them and that u wont but if u trian hard u will get it an plus there heap of move bro if that dont work u go to an other move i d0 khmer kickboxing and bokator and i dont give a fuck if u knee me jsut make sure u block the top cos if u dont u gonna get elbow to the face even if u block ill still get u cos i noe a way it a bokator move KUN KHMER

lyoto Says:
Sep 4, 2009 - That clinch work would work better in an MMA scenerio actually as the locking a single arm position is very common in greco roman wrestling and mma clinches.
