May 15, 2011 - I love people comparing Dream Theater to Spock's Beard, seen as one band is a progressive metal band and the other is a progressive rock band sort of branching to indie pop and old prog music. It's sort of like comparing Metallica to Dire Straits. The two genres (although they are both called "progressive") have very little in common.
