Also having an "every day" person (woman) would help show this working for the "common" person. Seeing you do it is great, and you slow it down and explain it clearly. The addition described would help boost confidence though.

Jan 19, 2012 - some good tips and some bad ones but mostly good ones.. the way he punches is the correct way to you just down want to lock up your shoulders.. locking up the shoulders is for boxing.. you want to keep a stance but don't make your body tight.. also when throwing the punch you shouldn't stretch out your arm all the way it could possible go this could cause injury to you and also not do as much damage as you intend to

Feb 23, 2012 - the punch form is similar to a wing chun straight punch. its more adapted to wider movements (more body rotation) and a default defense (off hand and shoulder) opposed to a reaction defense. much more tense depending on strength and muscle mass for protection, losing a bit of speed due to that but its much faster to learn and easily remembered.

Mar 30, 2012 - theirs a few reasons for that, the 3 easiest to explain are #1, adding the twist into the punch takes more training and krav maga is designed to teach you to be able to fight as soon as possible #2, punching like that minimizes the chances on you breaking your wrist. #3, your hands face in towards your body when their at your sides so if someone takes you by surprise balling your fist and punching like that is faster and more natural feeling then turning your fist palm down.
