JohnAP2 Says:
Mar 9, 2011 - not a very smart fella...
yakabout Says:
Mar 9, 2011 - - i never said it was clever. But then, I'd rather live life on the edge than way back in the comfort of a great big protective fluffy bubble. Take it from me, when something like this occurs, that nights meal is the nicest you've ever tasted.
JohnAP2 Says:
Mar 9, 2011 - - something else almost had a great meal that day too!
yakabout Says:
Mar 9, 2011 - - almost, but no cigar!!! :-)
lukeluke01 Says:
Mar 9, 2011 - (The small 'pitts' on the sharks snout detect very minute electrical impulses, sensitive enough to detect a fishes heart beat!!)
asskicknchickn Says:
Mar 9, 2011 - I would have let out a high pitch shriek at first sight and continued doing so all 3km back to dry land.
Clempt90 Says:
Mar 10, 2011 - You said " Shark attacks , lost fish " in your video. You may have lost the fish on the end of your line but you certainly did not get attacked by the shark , it was merely curious .Nothing more nothing less . Cool video though .
yakabout Says:
Mar 10, 2011 - - yeah, that was poor choice of words I know. I think that was just a heat of moment frustration thing, losing the fish after everything else that had happened that day
accradata Says:
Mar 13, 2011 - Nice rpg music .You should've jumped in with him. He just wanted a pat so he knew he was a good boy. Great whites are very sociable, friendly animals - very tame to the human species. Trust me - I'd know, i had a pet one until he ran on the road and got hit by a truck. Saddest day of my life..
RayAndMelli Says:
Mar 14, 2011 - :| Get on it like a crocodile and subdue its ass
mbw5 Says:
Mar 14, 2011 - I think you can ignore the downer comments from negative people trying to boost their egos at your expense. I'm sorry this happened to you - glad you weren't hurt. How large do you think the shark is?
iDavidTutorials Says:
Mar 14, 2011 - Yeah cause every kid has a giant great white shark in his room."Don't try this at home"
xenafan15 Says:
Mar 14, 2011 - :O Freaking scary!!
yakabout Says:
Mar 14, 2011 - - I reckon it was somewhere between 3 - 3.5 metres. Not the biggest shark in the world, but big enough to be a threat when it got that close
ScopedOUT2 Says:
Mar 15, 2011 - I can't try that at home because the pacific ocean is not part of my backyard...
yakabout Says:
Mar 15, 2011 - - thats a real shame man :-(
ooSmokeBeastoo Says:
Mar 17, 2011 - just like feedn bears turned bad when they started targetn humans even tho they werent the prefered diet i think over the last decade with all these scientists from shark week, discovery ch.,animal planet feeding all sharks in order to study & interact with them has caused sharks to recognize humans as a chance for an easy meal, whether its bein fed or eatn you tho its not a preference its all about not spending energy & better then starvn
bleak213 Says:
Mar 17, 2011 - Great video man! What an experience!
blackghostR6 Says:
Mar 17, 2011 - The ampullae of lorenzini are to detect electrical pulses used mainly in conjunction with the lateral line to pick up electrical fields and pressure changes in the water not just large sharks have these and they are not used by rubbing its snout on something like you implied about the rudder.

yakabout Says:
Mar 6, 2011 - - hence the comment 'do not try this at home'I never said approaching it was a smart thing to do. Watch again, and take note of the use of the words 'foolishly approached it'.
