The middle-aged ladies that make up most of the church roster get very jealous and difficult with a Vicar's wife that is too pretty. So that's probably why they show her as frumpy on the show.But you know, I think one day she's going to chase Rose down and do something very unfriendly and un-Christian like to her if she doesn't stop trying to climb her husband every time she sees him!

The Vicar's wife assigns he toilette duty and the Vicar winds up catching Rose in her "cleaning" outfit! Or Emmitt traps her into riding a horse when he knows that she can't and he winds up with his head in the ceiling!Of course, they might just have well ended up that way anyway, just being around Hyacinth!
