Nov 22, 2011 - Unfortunately Huntington was one of the chief propagadists for the global elite, much like Niall Ferguson is today. He was a member of the Trilateral Commission and the Council for Foreign Relations, the intellectual forefronts of the globalist elite. He was on Carter's National Security Council. He never said Islamic societies were behind, only they have 'bloody borders'. It was his task to intellectually justify the takeover of the Greater Middle East and he did a damn good job.

Nov 28, 2011 - america is a fucked up country. we support the wahabi exremists in saudia arabia, send them foreign aid and trade oil. we give money to israel who slaughter palestinians and generally hate muslims. Both the countries hate each other. Saudi arabia don't recognize israel. I mean wtf is going on? how much anti-semetism exists in wahabi nutjob land? whats going on? without oil would there even be a saudi arabia? how about cutting the strings off both the countries. lol!
athabascka Says:
Dec 2, 2011 - @halflifeproductionz: Keep in mind though that al Qaeda thinks the Saudi government isn't extreme enough.
athabascka Says:
Dec 2, 2011 - Chomsky's objections to the idea of clash of civilizations don't truly debunk the idea. Saudi Arabia and Indonesia may be examples of Muslim states not all that hostile to the West, but the Taliban, al Qaeda, and so on do have a fundamentally different vision for society and the world. This goes back to Sayyid Qutb, who's writings on American culture greatly influenced the Jihadists. Its also true that the Jihadists hate us for what we do, in addition to who we are.

Dec 10, 2011 - Does anybody know where this was recorded/ what the name of the speech or debate was called? Trying to reference this in a uni essay !!
halagu Says:
Dec 18, 2011 - Why is everyone referring to the Taliban as some sort of paragon of Islamic adherence? It is somewhat amusing but at the same time devastatingly saddening that people don't even reflect on the fact that the Taliban was a paramilitary love child of the US. What is sickening is that the west is all too ready to employ such barbarians as their "muscle" in the Muslim nations and turn a blind eye and only, and hypocritically, challenge them when such groups bite the hand that feeds them. Disgusting!!

Dec 18, 2011 - Ron Paul and Noam Chomsky should work together more closely to form coalitions. The more I hear from Chomsky, while I don't agree with him on economics and some other things, he's spot on about foreign policy, the war on drugs and MSM manipulations.
Hegerridadorno Says:
Dec 20, 2011 - "Ron Paul and Noam Chomsky should work together. . ." ew, no
bebzelle Says:
Dec 24, 2011 - Chomsky has over simplified the middle east and islam in this talk. He see things only from a liberal vision of how the world should be functioning to better fit his so called anti imperialist agenda. Saudia Arabia is an American ally but the saudi regime is given our money which then is subdized to the wahabi schools of thought which further fund wahabism in europe and rest of the world. Thus the saudis are a fundamentalist regime.

Dec 25, 2011 - Wow thats about the stupidest comment I've seen all day. Chomsky is not a Bolshevik-look up Chomsky on Lenin here on YouTube.
S2Cents Says:
Dec 25, 2011 - And Indonesia? And let's say you've got a point. I'd still think his point that the so-called Clash of Civilizations thesis is itself a radical oversimplification as well as an idea put to use by US government to advance its foreign policy agenda -is correct. I can readily imagine Chomsky pointing out that he just acknowledged extremist elements in the Kingdom.

Jan 8, 2012 - I don't see many Americans - any-coloured Americans - welcoming Saudis with open arms in any meaningful sense. Nor does a country's status as an Ally necessarily mean that they are "best friends." How much do you think the average American cares about Saudi Arabia - come off it, they couldn't find it on a map. This is not only a relationship between two elites, 2 Fundamentalist States; Dr Chomsky, my old guru, why did you not keep up the linguistics after writing "Manufacturing Consent"?

Feb 8, 2012 - you cannot disprove a trend by two or three counterexamples. huntington in his book did the statistics on conflicts (although far to few from a empiricist standpoint) which support his analysis

Feb 16, 2012 - I am personally think...if we all (people) work as one in defends of the clash of civilization there would be a destiny in the civil cases such as The Greece crisis but not recommended for criminal cases like Islam, and the West's relashionship to the most extreme Islamic states. - God only knows...how people should stay off (of it).

Mar 7, 2012 - While Rabbi Zakheim was Pentagon CFO leading up to 9/11, $2.3T went missing without a trace. Just one day before 9/11 Rumsfeld (a Zionist) admitted that - see (YouTube /watch?v=3kpWqdPMjmo). The investigation files just happen to be in the Pentagon section hit & burned in 9/11. Is that not a brilliant LUCKY coincident!$2,300,000,000,000 in one year; WAKE UP America. You are being duped, threat of Islam is a diversion. You are more likely to be hit by lightening rather than an "Islamcist"
PoliticsStudent Says:
Mar 24, 2012 - Chomsky is using a realist framework that necessarily undervalues any claim made that has implications beyond the state system. Realism is generally a good tool for analyzing international relations but Huntington's piece is not just arguing a point but also challenging mainstream IR theory to think beyond states.

Apr 15, 2012 - ... Really?China's not an ally just because they give us money. Russia's not an ally just because they're not communists.Saudi Arabia's not an ally just because they sell oil to us.China's extensive loans combined with America's plummetting reserves and GDP means China could own America in a few decades. Russia sells veritable armies to anyone who has the dosh, including countries that declared war on our actual allies.Saudi Arabia funnels money to radical islamic organizations. . .

May 29, 2012 - I encourage everyone to watch a documentary titled "One Third Of The Holocaust", which debunks and exposes holocaust myths and lies. (You can find it here on YouTube.)/watch?v=bzBpcuE8mpcI did not create the film, nor do I know the person who did. I'm telling others about the documentary because it helped change the way I see the world. We all need to do our part to spread the truth about the holocaust.Take care.

Nov 20, 2011 - this is the most tense i've ever heard Chomsky and that's b/c he KNOWS he's wrong. Blair/Bush/Obama can say whatever they want, Huntington isn't a politician who profits off of this, he's pointing out the politically incorrect FACTS that most Islamic societies are centuries behind the rest of the world in almost every discipline and Chomsky is desperate to make sure only the West is ever blamed b/c hes built his legacy on that. pathetic.
