Keith aka Skeeter is living totally off the grid. Starting with a raw plot of land, he built his house from scratch, dug a well, created a solar power system and is completely responsible for all his waste. Keith is a good example of someone who got tired of paying utilities and mortgages to live on earth. He took matters into his own hands and decided to be as independent as possible. Deciding to live out in the wilderness is one way to go off the grid. We'll be exploring other ways of being independent in urban environments in some of our next posts. Thanks Keith!

Most people if dropped in this situation would have no clue where to begin sustainable life in this type of environment. I heard you say night time energy is a problem, I dont know how the wind is there but new age MAG LEV wind turbine might give you some night time power, although current models are fairly expensive but the concept is spot on.

May 11, 2012 - Nice man, what a good setup. I like the bachelor comment, cereal, nuts, peanut butter etc. Haha! That's awesome. We are doing the humanure thing, but maybe a composting toilet is the way to go. 5 gallon buckets with icky gets gross after awhile....haha. Take care man!

May 25, 2012 - Hey Keith awesome vid, might want to look into Jericho Sunfire and Wiley Brooks, a lot of people reading into the new breatharian info coming out. I think there is a lot more evolved free energy tech being withheld, and I think a lot of us want what you have, at least I do, I would love to be totally independent doing graphic design/digital art jobs and never buying a house or one day making my own electricity 100%. Very inspiring man, you are awesome.
