Jan 22, 2012 - Incorrect. If that were the case, we wouldn't see board or brick breaking demonstrations from martial artists who train in those styles.

falcorules Says:
Jan 30, 2012 - You saying that ''Martial Arts, Like Kung Fu, BaGua, Karate, Tae-Kwon-Do and Other Martial arts are considered weak.'' means you're calling MMA weak. You're crazy if you consider Shaolin Monks weak.
shaggy0629 Says:
Jan 31, 2012 - Have you ever even PRACTICED a martial art before? Many of you are obviously ignorant.you do realize, the most effective and practiced fighting styles/forms used in UFC and other real competitive Mixed Martial Arts competitions are styles like:Muay Thai, Boxing, Kickboxing, Wrestling, Jiu Jitsu and Judo. Although other Martial arts are OBVIOUSLY used, they simply aren't as lethal as the ones that embrace the idea of following through with strikes.
shaggy0629 Says:
Jan 31, 2012 - I have a black belt in tae-kwon-do and karate. I'm a NAGA gold medalist (two-time) and I am a deputy black belt in kickboxing.in Te-Kwon-Do, if you do a basic Roundhouse kick, you would hit the target (Head or Body, Usually.) and put your leg back in place. same thing for a MAJORITY of tae-kwon-do offensive moves.in MUAY THAI and KICKBOXING, however, you are taught to follow through on punches and kicks.why do you think when a UFC fighters missed a head kick, he spins all the way around?
shaggy0629 Says:
Jan 31, 2012 - Pardon a couple of errors below.Anyway, I also said they are CONSIDERED weak.A Lot of MMA fighters claim Martial arts like the one listed originally are just not lethal enough to excel with.I'm not good at explaining these things on YouTube..you're going to have to research yourselves.I respect Martial arts. and I, Myself, Practice several. I'm no Matt Hughes or Anderson Silva or Bruce Lee or Oleg Taktarov or anything, but I have great credentials and I know what i'm talking about.

Feb 2, 2012 - unless you're a Shaolin Monk. Then you punch through the wall. ;]
R3dTigerM40A3 Says:
Feb 2, 2012 - actually muay thai boxers in thailand elbow strikes through walls of bricks-.-
falcorules Says:
Feb 7, 2012 - @shaggy0629 All martial arts in my opinion are lethal in their own way. Are we ignorant? Or are you ignorant? You don't sound like someone who has practiced a martial art before. Where's the respect?
shaggy0629 Says:
Feb 8, 2012 - I gave my respects.Of course they are lethal in their own ways.I'm referring to how they lack lethalness and effectiveness in MMA competitions.Obviously, a great practitioner or expert of an individual Martial Art could get a win. However, They generally aren't enough to consistently win fights. Hence, Mixed Martial Arts.Don't think I'm saying a Martial Art (Like Bagua, TKD, Karate & etc.) can't genuinely defend you in the streets or in a fight.

Feb 19, 2012 - i've never seen that fast guy
kelstatheone Says:
Feb 22, 2012 - I'm with shaggy, i too have practiced martial arts (TKD for flexibility, kick boxing for the skill of punching and kicking and some grappling for strength) if i was ever attacked on the street or in the ring i would never resort to TKD, it has limited use, mostly it good for fighting....well other TKD people. Some of the wrist locks and defensive techniques can be used but mostly punching, kicking and wrestling would be used in a street fight.
kelstatheone Says:
Feb 22, 2012 - Martial arts would only be beneficial if your assailant knew nothing about fighting. I was a bouncer for 7years at night clubs and pubs, i never saw any martial arts used to subdue violent patrons, some wrestling holds and punches sorted it out tho ;-)
redaeL99 Says:
Feb 25, 2012 - dont they fight with hands
DavidSmyth666 Says:
Mar 15, 2012 - You obviously never have done karate yourself. The first basic punch you are shown teaches you to punch THROUGH a person, not only to them.
