Wrap the yarn over the hook, insert the hook 2 rows below, between the shell stitches, pull the yarn up. Repeat one more time for a total of 5 loops on the hook.Row 1: DC in the 4th CH from the hook, DC in the next CH, Skip 4 chains, in the next CH(5th chain) work *2DC, CH1, 2DC, SK 4 CH's, Repeat from * across for the width, 1 DC in ea of the last 2 chains.Row 2: CH 2, DC in the next DC, work *2DC, CH1, 2DC in the next CH 1 Space. Sep 21, 2011 - Thank you so much for this! I am new to crocheting, and ive been really successful in this pattern already! You are a great teacher. At the moment Ive just tested this pattern with the length you used in the tutorial, but maybe when I am done I will make a blanket in this size. I guess Ill just turn this one in to a scarf. Is there a tutorial about how to get rid of those pesky end bits of yarn after you change colours? Thanks!

Nov 21, 2011 - I want to add my thank you for all your video work. You ARE a great teacher. I am a beginner and picked this right up. I am using four colors, three different shades of pink/red and it looks beautiful!. I chained 200 and am using a F/5 size hook to give me a large lap blanket. I am thrilled with how it is coming along. I am thinking of using a shell boarder done in black to make the colors pop. Thank you again!

Apr 24, 2012 - When I was first learning and didn't understand multiples, I just crocheted a chain to the width I wanted my blanket. I just sewed in any extra tail or chain. If you look in the video details, I also have a link to my crochet blog and symbol instructions
