Apr 21, 2011 - I love your videos but I keep messing this up. On the first galaxy stitch, you begin in 2nd chain from hook and then in the 1st sc. After this you skip a sc and insert in the next sc to finish the stitch. Going by this format, the last galaxy stitch would end on the 33rd sc, no? I'm sure you're correct I was just wondering if you could help me figure out where I'm messing up because this is a great stitch but I just can't seem to get it.

Apr 29, 2011 - What I suggest is that you open the video details and visit my crochet blog. You will find the link to written instructions and symbol instructions. Hopefully that will help it make more sense.

Jun 12, 2011 - @TheCalicoTwo It would make a beautiful afghan by starting off with a longer chain. A larger hook should make it a bit lacier and less stiff. Thank you!

Mar 10, 2012 - I kept having the same problem, but it finally was resolved when I just went back to the foundation chain and did 33 stitches instead of 32. The numbering all works out from there.

tjw1963 Says:
Feb 21, 2011 - It is possible that you are missing stitches on the edge or you may be crocheting tighter as you work the scarf. If your stitch count is the same as the beginning of the scarf, they you are crocheting tighter.
