May 28, 2012 - stalin was still a prominent figure while Lennin was around, but neither should be the "baddie" in the film because they were revolutionaries of the revolution, not autocracy. they fought the democracy that took down the Tsars, so really had nothing to do with Anastasia...

May 28, 2012 - Actually Russia was involved in ww1.. but it was putting a strain on the country. The tsar saw himself as the devine ruler of his country and wasn't going to share his rule even though there was a Duma it had little power. When the tsar abdicated.. That was when hell broke lose. The provisional government said they were the rightful ruler then the bolsheviks (lenin) took that power.. But Lenin was trying to do good, (kind of), trying to make the world a communist world.. using karl marx theory.

May 29, 2012 - um i dont see why you mention democracy, it was an empire, run by a tzar, the level of democracy did not change significantly you know. Its obvisoe that lenin and stalin would be considered the "baddies" in the film since there revolution brought the death of the tzar and all his family, so yeah. sure its fiction, but even diisney likes to have some accuracy
