Nov 14, 2011 - texas used to be grasslands with hardly no trees , wildfires cleared the land everyyear , now after years of fire control mother nature is back to clear the land again

Dec 28, 2011 - thats crazy how a fire can start without anybody doing anything to start it...this is only a sign and start to whats going to become and happen...ive never seen a wildfire before in my entire 22 yrs of living but the fact that it started from the extreme heat only makes me wonder what it'll be like in the summer of 2012....god bless those that survive the fires and may those that passed away from it rest in piece

Jan 11, 2012 - I live in Texas probably about an hour away from all that crazy nonsense but whenever it was happening I was coming home from Austin and we had to take a major detour. That stuff was crazy every 4 min waiting in traffic like 3 fire trucks all the way from like Houston were racing through and now whenever I go to my grandmas I pass that dark ashy burnt up place

Mar 5, 2012 - when i was born Texas had many forests that now are burned up by wild fires and destroyed by man.
pronatalist Says:
Mar 12, 2012 - @tooyella210Yes, nature ignites forest fires, but not due to extreme heat, but due to lightning. Wood has to reach some 400-some degrees F, to ignite, and summer heat doesn't do that. However, summer heat dries out vegetation, so once a wildfire does start, it can spread sometimes slowly, sometimes fast, depending on weather and how windy it isBut people should be more careful about their litter, as carelessly tossed cigarettes can ignite grass, and beer bottle can act like magnifying glass?
GrizzlyBo5 Says:
Mar 28, 2012 - nobody died..
Firefighter7024 Says:
Apr 9, 2012 - lets just hope this summer is not the same
trevor kempster Says:
Apr 17, 2012 - following the 2009 Victorian Bushfires we at TBA Firefly developed our roof and wall frame wrap using our 10mm thick Firefly Plus 60 blanket. This product will not only stop embers and flame from entering the building envelope, but will also protect against radiant heat. The radiant heat produced from a bushfire will hit the building well before the flames. A furnace can be burning at 800 degrees C, with our 10mm product covering one of the open sides, and you can touch it the back of it
ash2374 Says:
