Mar 14, 2012 - Part 2. Back to big balls. Way back when, I was an Army primary helicopter flight instructor, and lo & behold, they sent me a shiny, new, Marine Lt. to teach how to fly. I think the plan was that I would teach him how to fly helicopters, and he would go back to the Marine hive and innoculate the rest of the drones with the will to get down in the trees and engage the enemy, up close and personal. Like the flying equivalent of a bayonet charge. (Jarheads can relate to that, right?) :-)

Apr 13, 2012 - The guy holding the camera; i seriously doubth that he would have had time to put down his camera, wondering where the hell now the ejection handle were and pull it to get out of the plane during the half second he had on him after the plane would hit the sea if the cable had snapped..

Apr 23, 2012 - EA-6B video from others in the plane.
tomcat548 Says:
May 6, 2012 - To Dtiydr. They don't have to worry about that because as soon as the plane hits the deck the pilot goes to full thrust so if they miss or the cable does snap the plane can continue and fly off the deck for another go. It's called a bolter.

Mar 14, 2012 - Marines? You mean the Men's Dept., of the Navy? Jarheads do have big brass ones. So big, that they interfere with normal thought processes, like thinking that the Army has great cooks. They think that fine dining is going into a Taco Bell instead of just using the drive thru. Personally, I have been known to take a pass on going to an Army mess tent, just to heat up some C rat, beanie weanies and B-2 cheese. End, Part 1. More to follow ---------------->
