Jan 1, 2012 - Will Birch, Huw Gower & Wicks co-wrote The Records' debut UK single, released 12/78. Ignored by Brit media , US FM 'AOR' radio stations immediately began playing it in heavy rotation. Then something unprecedented! 'AM' 'Top 40' stations break 'no imports' rule by adding 'Starry Eyes' to prime time. WTF?! Snatching defeat from jaws of victory award: Richard Branson & band 'manager'. Trashing The Records' reputation post 1982 disbanding shame-on-you award: Wicks. Global smash? No,not at all.
