Jun 19, 2009 - D'you all know that there's an AMAZING beautifully- photographed and superbly recorded 1 hr of Hines 'solo' at his peak in the British Film Institute Archive - see Wikipedia. It's just wonderful and needs to be seen.

Jun 6, 2010 - I once had a Earl Hines recording where-in he played with a trio. Himself, a drummer, a Bass player, & saxophonist. I don't recall the name of the record but the title had the word (Cafe) in it. The other word seemed to have been of French origin. It was an awesome recording. When the record 1st starts one here's the saxophone. Mr. Hines really shows his piano virtuosity on that recording. &, believe me it/he is awesome. Can anyone assist me in re-acquiring it?

Aug 3, 2011 - awesome... it's just an old standard played by Earl Hines, I'd recommend you check out pianists like billy taylor, oscar peterson, the early stuff by nat king cole, teddy wilson etc...
