Feb 22, 2011 - I went on holiday to Hastings in 1966 and the town was filled with french students because it was 900 years since the battle. Petula Clark was forever on the radio especially the pirate radio station. We sat and played our transistor radio and suddenly we were rained with money. Petula was just as popular in France and the students were throwing cash to us. It was a very economic holiday the cash paid for our fun and batteries for the radio.Thank you if you contributed.

May 11, 2011 - Well, yes, I accept that you don't like rap, but my point was that Petula moved from singing songs like Music, Music, Music, through the bubble pop of the 50s, into rock-pop in the 60s, and to more sophisticated pop in the 80 and 90s with little stop overs in musical comedy and jazz, soul and country, and has touched on Rap. What I'm trying to say is unlike some people she hasn't sung the same things for 50 years. It was in praise of Petula...

May 5, 2012 - You can almost imagine Ed Sullivan standing on the side going "hurry, hurry". He had so much opportunity with these artists back then and although he deserves credit for giving them exposure, they should've done so much more instead of being just another act in the circus.
