Oct 2, 2009 - In thinking of getting an Edwards LP but how do they compare to an ESP Eclipse?

appacana Says:

Oct 9, 2009 - how much is one of these?

f2kflyer Says:

Oct 12, 2009 - Awesome playing & tone. Sweet guitar too. I'm gonna get me one of those :)

neoh1977 Says:

Oct 15, 2009 - Thanks! it's indeed a great guitar.

neoh1977 Says:

Oct 15, 2009 - never tried an Eclipse before..but i guess Edwards will have more 'traditional' tone compared to Eclipse..

neoh1977 Says:

Oct 15, 2009 - It's about 700USD for a used one.

EC1000 Says:

Dec 29, 2009 - cool guitar and nice playing

TodayAt420 Says:

Jan 6, 2010 - these have a thicker body, and go anywhere from 7-11lbs, the heavier the better imo, more sustain, bigger tone, the eclipse has way bigger frets so you could get a bit lower action and would be a bit esier to play fast on... these supossably are made at the same quality standards and materials as the esp standards so i guess it depends on your taste

topografer Says:

Mar 12, 2010 - Wow i didn't expect that. It's damm great sound. Also made me like this kind of fingerboard (ebony isn't it) in a LP guitar

mikec717 Says:

Mar 12, 2010 - Those Edwards guitars really sing - love the tone you're getting out of it!

Apr 2, 2010 - Sounds quite good !Would you Know any web site wher to order an Edards LP please ?

5150VanAlien Says:

Apr 5, 2010 - Hey there, lovely Edwards.I'm thinking of buying one too. Can you please tell me, is the finish nitro like Gibson's or lacquer? And is the neck thick like a 57 or slimmer like a 60's Les Paul. Thanks

Robertspurling Says:

Apr 17, 2010 - You rock mate.Whats the weight of that guitar like?

TodayAt420 Says:

May 5, 2010 - the edwards will probably sound a bit bigger because eclipses are thinner due to gibson being sue happy... also the eclipse will have a thin neck and XJ frets so it will be easier to play faster... they should be of the same quality from what a iread abut the edwards, never played one myself though

TodayAt420 Says:

May 5, 2010 - oh whoops i already replyed my bad haha

picajoool Says:

Jun 5, 2010 - Wich model is this?

5150VanAlien Says:

Sep 1, 2010 - Dude, nice guitar. Are you happy with it? Sorry, but have to ask a few questions:Is the neck too fat? Can you get really low action? Is the finish nitro or lacquer or both? Thanks and nice playing too...:-)

GuitarStu Says:

Sep 26, 2010 - Any idea what model this exactly is? I'm thinking of buying one with the split diamond inlay which is very rare. But the one I'm looking at is a black beauty copy (has pickguard, gold p/u covers, and p/u selector switch). Also what type of board does it have? Dark rosewood or actual ebony? Thanks

ildiddyi Says:

Jan 11, 2011 - nice! i have the same guitar!

GuitarStu Says:

Mar 16, 2011 - You do? An Edwards with the split diamond headstock inlay and no pickup selector switch? I would very much like to see it as these Edwards are quite rare.

aceejay Says:

Apr 5, 2011 - hello.what pickup is that ?

LabelBob Says:

Aug 14, 2011 - I have owned one for about 6 months and can report: They are very well built, the maple top is thinner than a Gibson making the guitar about 9.2 lbs which would be pretty light for a Gibson. It has the "churp" of an ebony fingerboard just like a Gibson perhaps a little less "always on" than a Gibson which can be a good thing.

thelolguy007 Says:

Oct 13, 2011 - Awesome playing dude. Great guitar too. I got the custom 92cd in white. Love it. Savgae. Want another

Gonboo Says:

Dec 1, 2011 - Whats the finish on the neck like? One of the reasons why I never liked Gibson guitars is that their finish tends to slow me down and get clumpy even if I clean the neck after every use. If the Edwards LP is like any other ESP in terms of smooth neck finish, I'm getting one.
