qthompson415 Says:

Jul 2, 2008 - the lead singer did a good job, the background vocals is another story! they probably sing ok as individuals, but suck as a choir

musicofficeghost Says:

Jul 18, 2008 - I just want to say this...yes the choir did has some intonation problems and the soloist did rush but also in most pieces the soloist is allowed to take liberty with the tempo, to a degree. I also can say how well performed this was bravo. at certain points the soloist might have been weak and the choir died down and viceversa. I think some of the sopranos could have listened more to each other as a whole as opposed to trying to get themselves heard but I can't do it any better, good job group

musicofficeghost Says:

Jul 18, 2008 - and also it is hard to sing this type of song because it is such a soulful song and they took a very operetic and classic take on this which was the wrong way to go with this song but it fits into the repetoire of the group...thank you for sharing this video with us and you did a great job given the stylistic choices made...it wasn't a bad performance...you sang it beautifully in the style chosen...

Aug 22, 2008 - they sound good but the singer was a little airing and a little pitchy and her beaths were a little to loud she need to learn how to breath from her diaframe but it was an okay proformance and background was a little pitchy also

knq09 Says:

Oct 28, 2008 - baby girl you need more lesson on your voice and stop taking breath's like that we can hear you but you are good

Mar 20, 2009 - girl plz dont quite ur day job this is a nigger song

dubhcnum Says:

Apr 17, 2009 - how so very racist! Hmm

Akeysfan4life90 Says:

Apr 20, 2009 - I think that the background vocals were amazing. The song is meant to be soulful but they added a legato feel to it! I loved it, i would love to sing with them as my backup! I think you have to have a true knowledge for music to be able to understand and appreciate what they are doing in this piece. The soloist needs some work, the beginning was beautiful and controlled, but as she progressed, she started straining, and that is never a good sound.

jammers281 Says:

May 27, 2009 - wow. your ignorance is amazing.

sexy912 Says:

Jun 7, 2009 - Please grab some soul from somewhere on this song it is not meant to be like this Its a power ballad not like this. You guys have just taken all the feelin from this song There are alot of white people that can bring the power it needs but she is not one of them You don't have to be black to have soul or a power house voice just watch Leah labelle

BryanJrr Says:

Jun 13, 2009 - Hahaha, I just peed a little!!

krissf Says:

Jun 17, 2009 - it kinda hurt my ears to be honest

StewNWT Says:

Aug 22, 2009 - The soloist started very well but near the crescendo got significantly sharp, very off key in parts. The accompaniment was nice but the ensemble bits were rushed at times

that1girl1000 Says:

Oct 1, 2009 - this was a pretty good rendition.it could use some more feeling though.but the fact that the soloist has a beautiful voice can't be discounted.

alexandriador Says:

Dec 2, 2009 - The Opportunes never fail. Smart and talented!! =)

similik101 Says:

Jan 14, 2010 - honestly, the girl singing the solo ruined it for me. first of all, it's an acapella group. there has to be someone in there with an alto voice who could do this song justice. smart, yea. talent, not for this song on the solo part. and what is with the pitchy screaming? this song is too big for her.

Msjannahberry Says:

Jun 1, 2010 - I loved it! Every time this song is sung it doesnt have to sound exactly like Tiffany Taylor sung it. Tiffany Taylor has a VERY UNIQUE sound, as does the soloist in this video.

blazejeffery Says:

Jun 1, 2010 - sounds good but i agree that it has no feeling in it

GospelAccording2ME Says:

Sep 19, 2010 - Wow, there seems to be many opinions ranging from the quality of the soloist to the way the piece is arranged. First, I love this soloist. She stays pretty true to the original, but she also manages to put a little of herself in the performance. I agree with the comment that the original was more soulful, while this rendition is a bit more classical choral. I think it works well. I have one criticism and it involves the voice leading choices and harmonies. Beyond that, this is stellar!

leodiebel Says:

Dec 12, 2010 - if you think they took an 'operatic' take, you obviously haven't listened to much opera.

tysondouglas Says:

Jan 25, 2011 - lovely. but ultimately a fail. it shows from 2.07 onwards and is quite fortunate to end where it does. x

narutoclaymore Says:

May 31, 2011 - Amazing performance!! Amazing harmonies and lead!! The comments below.. You guys I assume, listen to Rebecca Black evwn during the days it isnt necessary to listen to her. This was amazing xx :)

Kdoggfly Says:

Oct 24, 2011 - no feeling.
