Dec 18, 2011 - Been searchin Koko Taylor clips on youtube to find out who was her guitarist in the mid-eighties. He made a big impression on me when I saw him (and her) at the Chicago Blues Fest. He played a hollow-body, and man, he sounded good. Can't find the info I want, though. Anyway, good raw blues is still alive. Check "Rosetta West - Underground."

Dec 21, 2011 - Frustrating. Knocked out too. I've only been able to find his name, Michael "Mr. Dynamite" Robinson. No story or even a bio. Maybe somebody knows something? Links?

Dec 21, 2011 - Hey, thanks for responding. I've been looking into this more since I last wrote here, and I came up with the name Eddie King. He played for Koko at the time I saw her (1986) and he played a hollow body electric. So that might be the one...but I haven't looked into "Mr. Dynamite" Robinson though, so I'll follow up on that. Thanks again.

Dec 21, 2011 - Hmmm, we both may be right. Robinson and King both played guitar on Koko's only live album, although Robinson is given lead credit. Thnx for the follow up.Koko TaylorLIVE FROM CHICAGO:AN AUDIENCE WITH THE QUEEN (Alligator)1987Koko's only live album, recorded in front of a wild hometown audience. May 29, 2012 - For me American music is the best. I am not from America, and like all kinds of music from different countries, but most of my favourites are American. I like American rock bands, american soul singers, american r&b groups and singers etc. Yes the British invasion helped, but the American rock bands took it to another level. Also the heart and soul of the British rock bands stems from American music in the 40s and 50s. God bless America.

May 29, 2012 - But when it comes to classical music, Europeans are the best no doubt.
