Apr 8, 2012 - i love the original the thing, and please don't hate me or flip out, but I thought that the prequel was a decent film. Anyone that went into The Thing 2011 thinking that it was going to be a masterpiece, or that it was going to surpass the original, is an idiot, of course it's not! However, I thought they did do some things very right, a good blend of practical effects and digital cgi, a strong female lead ( THANK YOU!!) and just a nice splatter thriller. So I enjoyed it

Apr 13, 2012 - the thing i find funny is that u thought someone will respond hating u but everybody who saw the 2011 prequel liked it i haven't seen 1 negative thing about it

videogamelover121 Says:

Apr 13, 2012 - actually they also used people in costumes or animatronics for some effects too.example: for twoface they used robots allot of the time and cgi this movie has a good blend of cgi and animatronics.and also for the creatures in the movie ya think they can make all of those into robots those things were weird and cool and

Apr 15, 2012 - eeww...who ever says this is better than the new one is either hella old or just completely crazy.

silverthevampirewolf Says:

Apr 16, 2012 - Best horror movie I have ever seen, the new one kind of explained why they where chasing the dog in the first place. I like the old one better but still they both are great movies

Apr 18, 2012 - A true the thing fan wouldn't hate on either movie. I loved both although the new one could have just used a lil less cgi. Either way they're both kick ass

Apr 22, 2012 - with the annoying friend who pops out of no where to fucken' try and frighten you, but it fails?

Apr 22, 2012 - HOLY SHIT! i was here to check it out to see what the movie's all about, but I've seen this movie! My dad and I watched it when I was a kid. It definitely gave me a lasting impressing, especially the fact that I still remember it. yeah, my dad is either a badass or he has no idea what movie is appropriate to show to little kids.(other movies he showed me when I was a kid were terminator 2, alien, ghost busters, rocky etc) my other family members recommended Disney movies.

Apr 29, 2012 - I'm not that old (22) and I'm not crazy. The new movie called The Thing is not a remake, it is a prequel and a rather good one. But The Thing from 82 is a classic and it scared the living hell out of me, it achieved what the new movie could not do and that was scare me so much that I can't go to sleep. I have The Thing from 82 in my movie collection, but I haven't watched it more than once and that was about 10 - 12 years ago. The dog kennel scene = truly terrifying. It almost made me cry.

May 13, 2012 - Is this one of those movies where two are left then one is like gotcha sucka then kills the last one and kinda smiles the credits?

SuperFunnyman001 Says:

May 24, 2012 - One question I have - when the thing imitates a person, is there a part of the person still human? Probably not, but I noticed that when Norris from the 1982 film and the woman from the 2011 film transform, both of their faces look like they are in pain. Because it's a parasite which moves from host to host, many parasites keep their host's alive.

SuperFunnyman001 Says:

May 24, 2012 - Maybe it wasn't Norris, but the defib scene.

tichergeorge Says:

May 25, 2012 - this is one of those movies thats actually scary.not stupid cheap loud objects falling down and the society calls it a ''horror movie''.

XDranzer000 Says:

May 27, 2012 - One of us YTber isn't who they say they are, I suggest we draw every videos or comments of them to test each one of them, to see who they really are.I know i'm "a YTber", if you guy were all these Things then you'd "Thumbs Down" me right now. This thing doesn't want to show itself it want's to hide inside an account, it'll comment or upload if it has to, so some of you are still YTber.

XDranzer000 Says:

May 27, 2012 - But I think when the Norris-Thing detaches it's head Norris is probably dead now.

SuperFunnyman001 Says:

May 27, 2012 - lol yeah I'm guessing that he's dead then xD I mean when it first splits off from the body, it looks as though it's in pain. Same as the woman from the 2011 movie when they're looking for the keys. Also the part in the Rec room in the 2011 movie where you see the Thing raping that guy's mouth, and his eye is looking around (that's pretty sad tbh :/)
