Jan 20, 2011 - "I refer only to alcohol versus high fructose corn syrup."Oh yeahMy Sister in law w3aws told by the doctor that a glass of wine a day would help her......so she drinks 2-3 bottles a day...then wonders why she's fat and her liver and kidneys hurt(duh)

Jan 24, 2011 - They never mention the fact it is made from corn genetically modified to fatten up cow and pigs, and it further genetically modified to increase your appetite and get you addicted to it.

Kostly Says:
Jan 28, 2011 - Yeah, I think you're right. It definitely increases appetite as it does nothing for nutrition.

Jan 31, 2011 - "It has very little role in the american diet, the answers from the scientifics varies": Dr Kessler, are you serious? Clearly glucose, sucrose, fructose are processed differently in the body.
UsagiJin Says:
Feb 7, 2011 - All you need to do is use Socrates's method to defeat the absurd idea (and bold-face lie) that HFCS is safe, and the same as cane sugar. Even the Corn Sugar people will tell you it's "high-fructose" because of chemical processes that make it 55% fructose, and the rest glucose. Glucose is blood sugar, which spikes it, and makes your pancreas overreact. Additionally, there's there's the concerns about what we're not being told, and the mercury debate. In the end, it is different, and they lie.
iPodHowToVids Says:
Feb 7, 2011 - High fructose corn syrup is good for you in small quantities......too bad it's in almost everything we eat.

Feb 7, 2011 - That ad they played from the corn industry is just like the ones British Petroleum played after their oil spill. what they mean to me is, your stupid and you'll believe anything you hear, now fork over your money.

Feb 9, 2011 - The stuff is dangerous and tastes BAD too. I travel to Argentina fairly often and I can tell the difference between Coca Cola made in the USA vs. Argentina. The Argentine product is still refreshing. I rarely drink American made Coke as it's way to syrupy and not as refreshing as it once was.
KillerAtThat Says:
Feb 11, 2011 - No food is real food? It has stuff added into it, hell even apples and grapes and fruits do to because they spray shit on them. Yea they wash them off after wards when they pick them but omm?? They absorb it.. Stupid doctor.
Johnnyblazedanketch Says:
Mar 7, 2011 - I would rather die in an instant fighting for my life, than die from neglect over a long period of time. If we aim to destroy the environment and ourselves in the name of profit, than may as well commit suicide with a nuclear war. No one should have the right to patent the blue prints of life, if it takes a war to reverse the decision of the US supreme court, then so be it. The flood gates were opened in 1978. Do some research, Jimmy Carter... you did nothing to stop this.
sajfen Says:
Apr 17, 2011 - HFCS 55 is the most commonly used variety, its 55% fructose and 42% glucose. I have seen that lecture, twice. You should too if you think it's about the dangers of HFCS compared to normal sugar.
CivitasUltraAporia Says:
Apr 18, 2011 - LOL, no it is not 100% fructoseIf you don't even know the basic information concerning this subject you need to shut your trap and go read
mordred612 Says:
Apr 25, 2011 - The US is ranked 50th for life expectancy at birth among Portugal, Bosnia, Panama, Costa Rica, and Cuba. Interesting to note that the countries ranked at the top have socialized health care. Living longer means more of a strain on social security, doesn't it? I've lived outside the country and the number of people we have with allergies by comparison is astounding, but allergy meds are big business, aren't they?
