Apr 4, 2012 - It's a boxing match. What about Tyson chewing on Holyfields' ear in retaliation for Evanders headbutting; you think that was acceptable? Of course not. Stop being so melodramatic.
xavierdwight23 Says:
Apr 4, 2012 - Who broke the "strict rules"? He had already apologized TWICE before the ref signaled to fight and he wanted to hug again. Even when Orttiz went to hug and apologize again, Floyd already had his hands up during that. Because you are suppose to protect yourself at all times. If the ref hands me the basketball to take it out, I'm not going to wait until you're ready before I throw it in play to score a basket. People dont like Floyd and now they have a bullshit reason to say something.
Easyandy100 Says:
Apr 4, 2012 - I don't dislike Floyd; I think he is the best boxer around. What I meant by strict rules is that it isn't a 'fight' in the anything goes sense. There is also an emphasis on gentlemanly conduct in the ring and what Floyd did, although not strictly against the rules, was ungentlemanly. He was clearly winning the match and taking a cheap shot at a man whose hands were down was just wrong. It's about respect.
xavierdwight23 Says:
Apr 4, 2012 - You bring up respect and gentlemanly, in a situation where a guy intentionally headbutts another guy after he had already been warned three times, because he was frustrated due to the fact he was getting his ass whooped. And you really think in your mind Mayweather disrespected Ortiz.. You are being delusional!!! Whats the NUMBER 1 rule in boxing.. Shit wasn't wrong, you just didn't care for it. Yeah he was clearly winning, thats why he got headbutted. Who knows what bullshit tactic comes next.
AirgunzUSA Says:
Apr 5, 2012 - Gayweather, pussy shit , why does he keep avoiding pacman. Fucking whimp
robtaylor5826 Says:
Apr 7, 2012 - For those who say floyd cheap shoted ortiz, watch the video.the ref said lets go and floyd knocked him out.he said lets go not hold up a sec,not wait, not time out,he said lets go.case closed

overthehill91 Says:
Apr 10, 2012 - Realistically, ortiz was clearly losing this fight. a rematch would prove the same results with or without an illegal headbutt
WhiteSlift Says:
Apr 12, 2012 - Most dangerous of the weight class? Not really, right? There's one more dangerous.
nintendo007 Says:
Apr 12, 2012 - I don't want to hear this bullshit Mayweather did the same shit the Mosley and nobody brings that up
hilltop985 Says:
May 6, 2012 - Mayweather a beast stop hatin' respect that man hands... He's good with them... So far Cotto the only man that gave him a run for his money that was a battle tonight may 5 2012...
jonh886 Says:
May 9, 2012 - May hasnt lost a round ...so he is the best probably better than Manny
sacredcreations19 Says:
May 10, 2012 - Ya Mayweathers knock out was legal.. but thats besides the point. Nobody is mad cause the ref didnt call it. People are mad because that was a dirty little trick. He showed everybody that day how unclassy he is, how little honor he has. To act dosile until he puts his gaurd down, thats scum bag material g. His own corner chewed his dumb ass out.
Slimkidd730 Says:
May 12, 2012 - You can call it what you want. Mayweather is undefeated and just got headbutted. Its already KILL OR BE KILLED. Its easy to judge and all this other stuff but what if you were headbutted? Two wrongs don't make a right but they make things even but like dude said up top, WHAT FLOYD DID WAS LEGAL. Ortiz just didn't protect himself at all times which is the rules. Only the strong survive, dirty move whatever. His corner chewed him out when he won the fight? Haters will hate but doesn't stop floyd
xxslaayyahhxx Says:
May 18, 2012 - So Mayweather knocking him out legally was a dirty move, but Ortiz's headbutt was the most classy and amazing move ever right? You make no sense...
sacredcreations19 Says:
May 22, 2012 - let me make this clear. Im not hating on mayweathers talents. He is the best he works the hardest. But your right i can call it what i want. I was a boxer for six years i got headbutt plenty. I NEVER did anything like that and i never would.
sacredcreations19 Says:
May 22, 2012 - I never said that. they were both wrong. Im not comparing the two. But if i did the only difference between the two to me is that Mayweather to this day shows no remorse.
pretteboy25 Says:
May 23, 2012 - whats da song from 0:27-1:15 cuz that beat smack
Slimkidd730 Says:
May 24, 2012 - Just because YOU NEVER DID IT DOESN'T MAKE IT DISHONORABLE. People constantly substitute what they believe or how they would do things to justify it being what people should do. Man thats you. If someone head butts me, WHEN IM ALREADY TRYING TO KILL THEM, Im doing what I have to do. Do you know the facts? Dirty trick? No honor? TIME WAS IN AND ITS READY TO FIGHT. Ortiz already apologized. Whats the saying, "PROTECT YOURSELF AT ALL TIMES." And you say your a boxer. Your a bias boxer thats all
Slimkidd730 Says:
May 24, 2012 - Why should mayweather show remorse for knocking a guy out which is legal when time is in, WHEN HE ALREADY APOLOGIZED, and just headbutted you? Your making no sense at all. So many critics, even joe cortez said mayweather did nothing wrong. You say your a boxer but can't even understand one of the most known sayings in boxing, "PROTECT YOURSELF AT ALL TIMES." Answer this ?, what did floyd do that was wrong?????? Thats what you need to answer. How can a legal move BE CALLED DIRTY??? lol!
sacredcreations19 Says:
May 25, 2012 - Im biased!? do you know what that word means? i dont like either of them. You know what else is legal in boxing, acting like your crying and then hitting your opponent when they put their gaurd down. I dont half to approve of what he did. honor is subjective. If you honestly can say what Floyd did wasnt dirty then fine i wont argue with you, but i dont.
drc14344 Says:
May 29, 2012 - i don't care if he apologized to his opponent, he lost a lot of fans the fans left to him is.... i don't know? mean evil like him
drc14344 Says:
May 29, 2012 - i hate you maywther you don't have fans anymore coward!!!!!!!!

Easyandy100 Says:
Apr 4, 2012 - They are in the ring to box under strict rules. Ortiz was apologising for a headbutt (that he definitely should not have done) and Floyd took the cheap shot. It was cheap shot that lost Floyd respect around the world as a boxer and as a person.
