Metallica invented a music that have influenced alot of great bands around, they are legend. so nobody here has the right to say trivium is better than metallica. just kiddos i guess, trying to think they know better about metal music.

Some of triviums songs are going to sound like metallica's, Matt heafy has cited many times that James hetfield and metallica are on of triviums largest insperations, both james and matt both have the same baritone sound, so some of there songs ARE going to sound like metallica, learn your facts watch one of his interviews he states this multiple times.

May 29, 2012 - Trivium said it pulled quite a bit of ideas from Metallica... that being said, the vocals sound more like Metallica than anything else. The guitar bass and drums do have very distinctive sounds, and the vocals really only sound like James on this album.
