Nov 14, 2011 - How is 2 the same as 6/3 ??? and how is nine the same as 27/3???
georgewoodbury Says:
Nov 14, 2011 - 6/3 means 6 divided by 3, which is 2. 27 divided by 3 equals 9.

Nov 17, 2011 - if you are looking for a parallel equation, shouldn't the slope be 7 not -1/7. perpendicular should be -1/7 right?

Feb 25, 2012 - I am a little confused, can you please explain a little more. When adding the 9 to both sides, how is 9 the same as 27/3?
georgewoodbury Says:
Feb 25, 2012 - The integer 9 is the same as the fraction 9/1. If you multiply the numerator and denominator by 3, you'll get 27/3:9 = 9/1 = 9x3 / 1x3 = 27/3
