Oct 19, 2011 - I believe MAK (I think it means "office of service") was the name of an organization Bin Laden belonged to for helping the people of Afghanistan during the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan. In the part of the interview I posted Bin Laden said he doesn't belong to an organization with a specific name but to the "uhma" or Muslim nation. In an earlier part of the original interview he says he instigates Muslims to defend since it's duty of Muslims. Duty doesn't equal organization w/name.

Fatwas purpose I believe was to inform the Muslim nation as a whole (not one organization with one name) to identify the enemy of the Muslim nation and their duty to defend themselves.
