Jan 15, 2011 - No matter what talk show you may listen to. America is still the greatest country in the world right now. Everyone looks up to us. Not from fear but from admiration. We may have our problems but we are a young and growing country.

Jan 16, 2011 - Is this the same Eagle that BIT Bill Clinton when he tried to touch it some years back?

annielocastro Says:

Jan 30, 2011 - Let's pray that as our national symbol, the majestic bald eaqle, is no longer on the endangered species list, the people of this nation can remember where their freedoms come from and turn their hearts back to God.

BaldEagleInfo Says:

Jan 30, 2011 - Yes, that was Challenger.

AdolescentTheory Says:

Feb 1, 2011 - They became endangered for more than one reason however one main reason for their endangerment was because of logging and cutting down the trees they nest in. When they were put on the endangered species list, it became illegal to cut down trees in the natural habitat of the bald eagle. Now that they are off the list, it is no longer illegal to do so. They may very well end up back on the endangered species list...but I really hope we can learn from our mistakes!

Feb 20, 2011 - What's hanging from his feet?

BaldEagleInfo Says:

Feb 20, 2011 - These are jesses (singular "jess") which are thin straps, traditionally made from leather, used to tether a hawk or falcon (or in this case, an eagle) in falconry. They allow a falconer to keep control of a bird while it is on the glove or in training, and allow a bird to be secured on a perch outside of its aviary.

Mar 8, 2011 - Thank you for sharing the video, the beautiful music, and this beautiful Raptor. It is such an amazing feat that the Bald Eagle is almost off of the endangered species list. My husband and I love going on eagle hunts when we go to doctor appointments at the University of Iowa because their are a large number of eagles on the Iowa River that runs through Iowa City and Coralville. We have so many pictures of these great creatures, either flying or perched in a tree or on the ice of the river.

BaldEagleInfo Says:

Mar 8, 2011 - Thank you for watching our video and saying such nice things about it. On June 28, 2007, Secretary of the Interior Dirk Kempthorne announced the removal of the bald eagle from the list of threatened and endangered species at a ceremony at the Jefferson Memorial in Washington, D.C. After nearly disappearing from most of the United States decades ago, the bald eagle is now flourishing across the nation and no longer needs the protection of the Endangered Species Act.

survivrs Says:

Mar 8, 2011 - Your reply thrills me to hear that the Bald Eagle is doing so well. We have several areas close to where we live that we see a Bald Eagle on occasion. We carry a camera with us almost all of the time anymore! I remember when I saw my 1st Bald Eagle, I was so excited and pumped full of adrenaline, practically screaming at my husband "Oh my God, Oh my God!!!!!" He smiled at my response because he knew that we stood a good chance of seeing at least one as we were along the Miss.River

BaldEagleInfo Says:

Mar 9, 2011 - Yes, this more than likely was Challenger. If not, probably America.
