Nov 4, 2011 - I can't believe I missed Noam Chomsky in Sydney. I'm literally in tears. Town Hall speech, visit to a high school in Cabramatta :'(I just cannot believe it. Fucking mainstream media too busy reporting about kim whore tardassian than to cover the most important thinkers alive today.
Alchaeon1 Says:
Nov 6, 2011 - .....why doesnt Noam expose the people who own the banks?funny that
saxengee2 Says:
Nov 7, 2011 - I think Philip adams is a little too proud.. for no apparent reason- especially in pt 2
CytotaandAcytota Says:
Nov 8, 2011 - He does occaisionally talk about the founders of the various institutions when speaking about historic events but really the issue is the structural problem of unacountable concentrations of power. The individuals themselves are often irrelevent, for instance the CEO of Shell Petroleum is a concerned environmentalist, but the nature of short term economic self-interest is the real cause.
andyx1205 Says:
Nov 9, 2011 - concentration of power is a natural outgrowth of the capitalist system. there was a recent swiss study that delved into this, you can find the study in the New Scientist

Nov 10, 2011 - the whole time I wished the interviewer would quit breathing
Alchaeon1 Says:
Nov 10, 2011 - ....How many Palestinians has Philip Adams interviewed? Is he allowed to?
Kinyua8395 Says:
Nov 10, 2011 - How did I miss Noam Chomsky in Sydney? I blame the media for not even hinting :(
Yo4801 Says:
Nov 18, 2011 - I think he's been hinting at that for awhile now. Maybe you don't read his works.
CytotaandAcytota Says:
Nov 18, 2011 - You are of course correct in this point, however do remember it's not merely a "capitalist system" but the current state-capitalist system grossly distorted toward corporatism, so much so that it contradicts the fundamentals of the true capitalism that Adam Smith and John Locke postulated.
bfoaliali Says:
Nov 30, 2011 - His hearing is so bad now, I'm so sad. I love him, I hope he lives until 1000.
FireEyedMaidOfWar Says:
Dec 3, 2011 - Well this is just one of the all too many cases on our books of Americanism. The only way that we can fight this terrible debilitating social disease, is by informing the general public of its consequences, by showing young people that it's just not worth it. So please give generously to this address: The League for fighting the United States of America, 55 Lincoln House, Basil Street, London, SW3.
keatsblake100 Says:
Dec 5, 2011 - Chomsky's a nice, modest guy.
Laughingblades Says:
Dec 11, 2011 - Chomsky kicks ass but he takes forever to make a point. The man could learn much from youtube comments and twitter.
smithy2306 Says:
Dec 14, 2011 - Great insight into Chomskys life from the man himself. Thank you for the upload!
Laughingblades Says:
Dec 17, 2011 - @hihellohowareyou1000 Real insights can be delivered without pausing between words and dragging them out. For a world famous linguist he sort of takes forever to make a point, he could use language so much more effectively for communication if he could refine and package his ideas better.
Laughingblades Says:
Dec 17, 2011 - @hihellohowareyou1000 :p Naw bro, just sayin' he could be more concise, he's got a lot of great ideas, he just doesn't communicate them as effectively as he could. It's a legitimate criticism. Why u mad?
Laughingblades Says:
Dec 17, 2011 - @hihellohowareyou1000 No bro he pauses more between words than anyone needs to, he uh's and um's a lot, he stammers in his speech, and he uses far more words than needed to make his point, often to the point of being obtuse.♥ The man but he's not the best communicator.
scorchedearthdj Says:
Dec 22, 2011 - he is 80+ years old at the moment. listen to noam from 10-40 years ago.
QwidgyboMan Says:
Jan 12, 2012 - He's always lacked concision. That's not such a bad thing IMO. The comment about Twitter and Youtube is a little bizarre though I must say.
tonygumbrell22 Says:
Jan 12, 2012 - Read his many books before you leap to such a very wrong conclusion.
grsadr Says:
Jan 22, 2012 - SONG: Eliza's Aria by Elena Kats-Chernin. The song is used as in the score of the Wild Swans ballet. There is a house remix called The Journey Continues ( watch?v=yNLEXej-wTI )
ISMEY Says:
Jan 28, 2012 - sound bites eh?.........its not how chomsky rolls!!! lol
Ollie9402 Says:
Jan 31, 2012 - Watch Manufacturing Consent, if you haven't yet.

abcradionational Says:
Nov 4, 2011 - It's written by Elena Kats-Chernin, a Russian-Australian composer. We think it's called 'Wild Swan', but we'll confirm this.
