Mar 17, 2012 - It will happen and why would it be a dangerous road to travel? This is not selective breeding.

Mar 23, 2012 - Why are they using the Philip Glass music from Fog of War documentary for this??

Mar 25, 2012 - It's scary... were getting closer..
OffDWallNotDRack Says:
Mar 28, 2012 - Google is releasing augmented reality glasses by the end of the year. It's scary, but it's exciting. Look at the history of the world, and then look at just the last 100 years. The advances we've made in the last century are mind boggling, and the advances are growing faster and faster now. I don't see how anyone can NOT believe that the singularity is near. I'm only 29, and the things we have now, I could only dream of as a child. If you showed me an iPhone when I was 10, I'd think u were alien
OffDWallNotDRack Says:
Mar 28, 2012 - Scary? I would say it's exhilarating
deanmullen10 Says:
Mar 29, 2012 - well yes It's that too. It's just when you think of what's gonna happen you get a sense of it been scary but then again, realizing that's just the way they're making it out to be, it's exhilarating too.
geppegep Says:
Apr 11, 2012 - it is totally true, its just a matter of how fast, just think about how we all live in our own seperate worlds, and science has never gained permission to experiment obviously, the one thing that slowed this change down was religion, which is now going away, that doesent mean that art, love and the goodness of man will dissapear, only if we stay in our fucking comfort zones and not really live honestly in contact with nature
Alaa Al-Barkawi Says:
Apr 11, 2012 - just because you think you can prevent dying from disease, that doesn't mean you can prevent natural things such as natural disasters OR accidents, dictators or even humans. Like really? Is he trying to make Brave New World a reality mixed with many other dystopian fictional societies? Let's see how mother nature decides. The world can't be fake. Or it's not a world at all.
deanmullen10 Says:
Apr 21, 2012 - I believe that science is the key to social change. Ever notice that since the industrial revolution and age of enlightenment things have sped up socially and a lot of social change and change in each generation has occurred?I think that science advancing leads to technology advancing which speeds up information communications and makes more information accessible and this information becomes more accessible itself. Thus society speeds up and changes fast.Science is the key to social change.
ItsTheTrickAttack Says:
Apr 24, 2012 - FUCK TRANSHUMANISM
Domzdream Says:
May 3, 2012 - This is where stupid religious morons always bring their non existen god, and as always, retard progress. Because it's not that this non existent god that's afraid. It's because THEY are afraid.Silly old people.
Domzdream Says:
May 3, 2012 - WHY?
Domzdream Says:
May 3, 2012 - Transhumanism is necessary. We've already begun including 'cyborg' tissue into our bodies to help us along.I for example, have a false tooth where one got knocked out during Karate class. Or another person has a heart pacer to help him live and support his family finacially.I think you are afraid of progress. Why so afraid is my question?
Domzdream Says:
May 3, 2012 - I loike what Stevie Wonder said.See, it's eay for a healthy person to be afraid of technological progress. Perhapse maybe with regards to technology being forged for doing bad things. That's inevitable. But it's quite another thing for a disabled person to asked the same question.Trust me, if you were in the same place of Christtofer Reeve, you'd be crying with happiness to be able to lift your own glass, filled with orange juice, all by yourself.
deanmullen10 Says:
May 23, 2012 - Shit is going down on Planet Earth this century! But seriously, I dream of a future world. Even if I don't live to see the year 2100, at least it will become a reality :) we just gotta make it there first.
deanmullen10 Says:
May 23, 2012 - But the good thing is that if religious people fear transhumanism, they will not have indefinite lifespan and thus they will die off in a natural lifespan and so will their ideas with them yet the irreligious will live on. Perhaps it's social evolution. It's not a good thing for people to die so I guess it's our duty to convince people of becoming irreligious before we reach this time or they will die.So by disrespecting religion & questioning it, we could be saving lives :)
Domzdream Says:
May 24, 2012 - 'So by disrespecting religion ...'Sure. Anyone who says that lightning is actually spears thrown by the angry gods in the clouds deserves to be ridiculed. I mean, the reasons why so many thousands of innoncent women were burned alive at the stake is because of superstitious thinking. And because of religion. Discard this stupidity and we can move on tothe next level of empathy and thinking.
deanmullen10 Says:
May 25, 2012 - One thing people don't talk about enough is the potential of virtual immersion technology (matrix technology). Once we can send digital information to the brain, while blocking out the information coming from our senses we can experience fully virtual worlds. This may lead to virtual cities that may replace the cities of the real world as the centre of business and home of humanity. This may lead to Hyper Films (films you can enter) and Hyper video games (video games you can enter).
Bobanamanamo Says:
May 26, 2012 - I missed half the information presented in this documentary because I was too busy thinking about Mass Effect.
ThatWasPrettyFunny Says:
May 29, 2012 - maybe he thinks that transhumanism means mass slavery loli suppose this is feasible, but if they make it feel awesome, i dont care what im doing, because ill like it.
Domzdream Says:
May 29, 2012 - Yea. imagine downloading Kung Fu. Or getting a pilot's licence in 10 minutes.
ThatWasPrettyFunny Says:
May 29, 2012 - @Domzdream I would like that a lot. I can think of nothing better. Except, maybe, full immersion into a virtual world. That would be excellent

butterf1yz Says:
Mar 17, 2012 - Kurztweil's predictions for 2010, written in 2005, in The Singularity is Near: "By the end of this decade, computers will disappear as distinct physical objects, with displays built in our eyeglasses, and electronics woven in our clothing, providing full-immersion visual virtual reality." And that's one sentence. Read the book, read "the 2010 scenario". It's a million miles away from reality. CPU or not, his predictions will be more and more off as we go forward in time. Wake up. You WILL die.
