Feb 19, 2011 - I love this band and have like them since the 80's. They somewhat morphed into a little known band by the name of Trans Siberian Orchestra. Maybe some of you have heard of them. It certainly gave Paul O Neil and Jon Oliva some commercial success which is well deserved.

Apr 8, 2011 - This songm without the shadow of a doubt, has the MOST BEAUTIFUL guitar solo ever created by the men. Al Pitrelli was REALLY inspired in this day. Yes, this solo goes a little bit beyond of compared to"For the Love of God" of Steve Vai. Yes, I know this song is smaller, but even so, it wins. You can feel the drama, the huge pain, the agony, the suffering and the courage of Ferdinand Magellan ships facing the huge storms he has faced in his Land Discoveries era of the Sailing Ages he was part of.

Jan 21, 2012 - Savatage hasn't gone anywhere just yet. It's on hiatus since its primary vehicles, Jon Oliva, Criss Caffery and Al Pitrelli, have gone on to other projects, like, as you mentioned, the Trans-Siberian Orchestra. Jon's busy with his own band, Jon Oliva's Pain.
