Something as old as dirt, the ability to save and re-plant our own seeds, is an impossibility with GMO seeds. Organic farmers experience cross pollination into their crops. There is even speculation that the colony collapse disorder killing off honeybees is correlated, if not caused, by GMO crops. Chemicals don't discriminate between harmful and beneficial insects. Please research GMOs.

Garbage foods are heavily subsidized, thanks to our tax payer dollars at work, so that we don't pay the actual costs of the junk foods we buy at the supermarket. So if we pay more at the farmer's market, we're basically paying more because those growers are not getting those same corporate subsidies. We take a double hit, having already paid with our taxes. But at least we're investing in our health, something Monsanto could give a rip about.
