(butting in here) for me, I don't currently make any profit off of my photos and I'm only 16 but I put alot of effort and time into developing and scanning my own photos, so obviously I dont print, scan and every last fucking photo for people. THAT'S what bothers me. When people expect me to go out of my way to make them prints I'm not necesarily happy with.

May 7, 2012 - Don't undersell yourself. Age doesn't matter if you've got a skill that they want. At the very least, only do stuff for free if it's something that you really want to do and make everybody else pay you, even if it's only a small amount. They'll show you more respect.

May 7, 2012 - dude, I hear that one when I'm just walking around with my $100 setup of a 1980's film slr. people will say nothing to the guy with a 300mm prime lens on a canon mark IVIIIVVXI or something and then when they see me it's all "are you a professional? that's a really expensive camera!" I mean, the shit people say...
