In '78 I made a pilgrimage to Brighton, but I didn't have to drown myself because punk was in full swing --- my life was saved by rock and roll.

May 24, 2012 - Rubber Soul is full of angst. Nowhere Man, Think For Yourself, Girl, I'm Looking Through You. Sure, they didn't explore it as overtly as Pete Townshend on albums like these but they still touched upon it in several key songs.

May 25, 2012 - This is one the most worked on Who albums I think next to Tommy! Back in these days it was cool to make a 2 record set compared to now where it's frowned upon along with a lot of things! These days are so used up and cheezed out it makes me want to vomit!!

May 28, 2012 - This is one of those very special albums that just get better every time you listen to it. I know that if I somehow hear just one cut, I have to go listen to the whole thing. Kieth's drumming is his best ever. Same with the Ox. Roger surpasses even his own unique talents. And Townsend? Brilliant. His eerie wailing guitar sends chills up my spine. Power chord upon power chord. Single note progressions that defy comprehension. Emotion just drips off the vinyl. I have the album, with the book. :)
