May 24, 2012 - Yeah - many prophets in Bible ALSO claimed to be in trances or altered states of consciousness when they were inspired. How about your emotions - such as fear, anger or relief etc. Who is to say these are not spirit induced? My point is that vilifying the "trance state" may be a diversion especially if spirits or even other human individuals have the capacity to influence our thoughts, emotions, and feelings while we are in our normal conscious state.

May 24, 2012 - I can personally attest to some aspect of the the phenomenon of remote influencing to improve concentration. I was a teacher and after awhile I started to realize that the most important factor involved in my students learning was their emotional states. The "better" they felt the more they learned and retained. When I combined high emotions with a "feeling" of love from my heart - the group seemed to intellectually meld and learn simultaneously as a single unit.

Theres a myth that the gland forges DMT.Meditation is basically trying to induce sleep paralysis. You keep your mind aware by concentrating while your body slowly relaxes and eventually shuts down.
