May 13, 2012 - Yea, but now it's associated with the dream layer plot and has since become a meme.It's called REFERENCE - people reference the movie by its movie title, and refer to what happens in it. "Inceptions" also happens to be a catchy word to put in this kind of jokes.The fact that the "inception" refers to the mind manipulation rather than the "layers" doesn't really matter - the inaccuracy even contributes to the humor.That's how language works, and how jokes work. NOT always literally.

The joke isn't even funny, I say that to my brother's as a joke of how stupid it sounds when people say it, and lastly what anakin82030 said makes no sense, the actor was not pretending to be Heath Ledger, he was trying to act as the joker the same way Heath Ledger did............

May 19, 2012 - ... by this guy where he plays Heath Ledger who then goes on to play the Joker (the one with Christian Bale), but while it does make more sense, I don't think it would be particularly funny in that context, either, especially since Heath is playing a character rather than impersonating someone else, and impersonating actors playing a role is too common an occurrence.There are other contexts where it can be funny, though.
