May 16, 2012 - It's because, despite the absolute fantastic work Todd and the boys did on Skyrim, the narrative was admittedly fairly weak. The narrative that BioWare has put forth in DA:O is spot-on. To me, gameplay doesn't bring me coming back to a game as much as narrative does. Don't get me wrong; I'm not bashing the work Bethesda has done on the series, and has obviously continued to do. I love the series, and wouldn't change a thing. The two games just scratch different RPG itches.

May 16, 2012 - I wouldn't go as far as to say it was a waste of money, but I admit, I've seen them do better work, and was slightly disappointed with the overall product. I loved the art design, though. Beautiful environments. Relatively weak story, considering the complexity that they are known for. I would have expected a politically complex game on par with Morrowind. But enough debating Elder Scrolls! This is a Dragon Age video! Press play!

May 16, 2012 - I actually played Skyrim first and really liked it. The graphics were beautiful and questlines interesting, but being a writer and a roleplayer I found Dragon Age's brilliant characters and storyline more important than gorgeous graphics. It's pretty much fifty-fifty to me, I guess.
