May 24, 2012 - The Blighttown trip is not necessary, after joining the covenant, walk out from Alvina's room and look to your left, Shiva of the East and his half-invisible bodyguard is standing right there. Conveniently his bodyguard (the one who drops the Dark Woodgrain Ring) is standing very close to the edge of a cliff. Kick his (forward+R1) ass a few steps back, and after about 3 kicks he falls off. Quit the game, load it, and his item should be right there.
