Shawn also had great mic skills and could entertain and carry a match better than the majority of superstars. There were a lot of things wrong and bad about him, however his talent and passion for the business wasn't one of them.

Mar 2, 2012 - In terms of being over?! Yes they were. Besides Hogan they are probably the biggest mainstream names in wrestling. However Im not just a fan to promos and pre match hype. I want to see good, and sometimes great in ring action. The Rock and Austin did have good matches without a doubt. However, I knew everytime Hart, Flair, Macho, or HBK were in the ring I was gonna see a 5 star match. Again you might not like him and thats fine, but to say he's overrated is asinine.

Take wrestlemania for example, I gaurentee Cena will have the greatest match of his career, because The Rock will get it out of him. People forget how a good a wrestler The Rock is, his mic skills are great, but the only wrestling moves he dont do are high flying moves off the top rope. As for austin, yes, he was a brawler, and surely a five star match is about entertainment, and there was none better

Mar 2, 2012 - Shawn brought the best out of everybody. Undertaker's, Bret's, Sid's, Mankind's, Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, HHH. All these guys' matches with Shawn were either their best or one of their best. Rock and Austin were great too but it was the circumstances surrounding the matches that made them great. For example, WM14 HBK vs. Austin is clearly a better MATCH than WM15 The Rock vs. Austin. Funny thing is, Shawn wrestled that with a broken back. I love Rock and Steve, but still.

The name of the game is entertainment, and on youtube ive watched the wrestlemania 15 match about ten times, ive watched the wrestlemani 14 match once, and that was only to see tyson. HBK is the most overated wrestler in the history of the wwf, IMHO.

Mar 2, 2012 - Dude i've only started keeping tabs on the wwe again because the rock might show up, but it aint the same. HBK is a different class to any of the guys now, that goes without saying. And im not saying he wasnt entertaining, cos he was and some of his matches were great, ie, wm10 v razor, and his feud with brett. All im saying is he aint in the top five, IMHO. I do like winding up the hbk fans, cos there so easy, they cant take criticism, its hilarious.

Mar 3, 2012 - I wrestled for several years. I know the difference between real wrestling and sports entertainment. That is why i left those guys off the list. Even though Shawn's match with Angle at WM21 was amazing to watch. Theirs a reason it's entertainment. Just because you know how to properly wrestle doesn't mean you are going to win fans over with your headlocks and firemen carries. It's about being a showman and even an artist. It's about carrying a match with your opponent.

Mar 3, 2012 - The funny thing is, is that I said nothing about them being real wrestlers. I simply stated that when it came to in ring action Shawn was one of the best in the WWE. LIke I said before it's just not move sets, its how you tell a story in that ring. All those guys I had mentioned, their best matches and most "watchable" matches were with Shawn. As far as the WM discussion goes, you missed the point.  He put on a great match with a broken back. That takes guts and talent.

Mar 3, 2012 - And actually, if you watch WM23 you will see the 2nd greatest match of Cena's career. Also, if you watch a Special Edition of Monday Night Raw, you will see the greatest match of Cena's career. Both were against Shawn Michaels and the Raw match that lasted over 45 minutes for the WWE title has been reffered to as one of the greatest in non PPV television. I've never seen Cena so good in the ring, and that was just because Shawn called that whole match.

Apr 6, 2012 - I have wrestled and do you know what's regarded as one of if not the best match Angle had while in WWE? It's his WM21 match with Shawn. WWE is just as much entertainment as it is wrestling. If you cant put on a show in that ring and carry a match and audience then im sorry but you are not a good performer. Angle was pretty good at that and so was malenko. Brock, not so much. And if you want to talk overrated. Well, that is the Rock to a T. Love him and all but just a glorified showman.
