Jan 21, 2012 - Why on earth would any experts on Japanese anything be on the East Coast, let alone New York. California has the largest population of Japanese outside of Japan, followed by Hawaii. And in my slanted opinion, the ramen we have here in L.A. and S.F. (cant vouch for Hawaii) are just as good as in Japan. I am talkin' the REAL ramen spots (Gardena, Torrance) not those poser trendy beach city and hollywood spots.So stab that in the eye with a chopstick. New York???? Give me a break.
