Added: Dec 7, 2009

Author: allthatjazzsamples

Duration: 1:23

Description:
This is my little TRIBUTES to the highly creative & talented "Emily Remler ",who very sadly left us on May 4th,1990.The latter @ the tragically early age of 32 years.I hope that ALL listening guitar players & guitar "buffs," will derive as much pleasure from this solo, that I have carefully edited in.I cannot see that this cut has -until now -been posted up.So folks - hopefully - a nice surprise ! However, if any of the musicians involved - or any member of Emily's family -are unhappy about this posting. Please contact me,via my Web site,as below.I shall then immediately take it down. After I've checked out that any such request, emanates from a genuine source. This is my STRICT policy. It applies to all my postings.I have this complete concert -the latter including interviews with the Band & of course with Emily. It lasts for 86 mins.Another great bonus of this session - apart from the burnin' tenor of Sonny Fortune;is that we have one of the very best hammond players around.Namely, Barbara Dennerlein. From the private collection of Colin Kellam..if you are into "guitar"..then come & see me @:www.allthatjazz-ondvd.co.uk Please use my "Contact Me" page.NOTE:My Web site address,as above on this text page,is NOT a direct link. You have to "Google" me.

Maafa1619 Says:

Feb 7, 2012 - Vocals? She's a jazz guitarist, you idiot.

seth3556r Says:

Feb 8, 2012 - just shut up you imbecile. a song is nothing without vocals, render it a song with a numerical title instead of a meaning, like a classical composition. when you name a song with a theme you can't support it without the vocals.... otherwise its just feelings of notes and no statement. If you were a musician you would know this you dumb ass.

Maafa1619 Says:

Feb 8, 2012 - Is that what you were on about; the definition of the word song? Ha ha, you pedantic obsessive-compulsive fucktard.

seth3556r Says:

Feb 8, 2012 - Your whole statement is a contradiction buddy. I think you need a lesson with a Thesaurus or an english professor for the matter.

ledzeppelin4485 Says:

Feb 23, 2012 - Are you yourself a musician?........Because if you're a musician you would be able to find meaning in the melody, beauty in the harmony. Music don't need no words, it's poetry unto itself. And before you call me on MY grammar, take a walk and calm down, man. Then try listening again. It's just jazz. It's beautiful and it can take you places if you let it. Loosen up.

seth3556r Says:

Feb 25, 2012 - Just relax, no one is mad here. I'm just saying the concept of naming a piece of music with a song name is ridiculous. I am a musician who studies Jazz, so this beauty you talk of is familiar to me. However, you don't name a song "George Bush" and render the piece lyric-less... it ruins the point of the song deliverance.

mutantthrash Says:

Feb 25, 2012 - You're an idiot.

seth3556r Says:

Feb 27, 2012 - Don't hate me because I'm voicing opinion, you sadist.

mutantthrash Says:

Feb 27, 2012 - I don't hate you, I don't even know you. I understand you are stating your opinion, it's just that your opinion is stupid. It also doesn't help the matter that you don't understand the meaning of the word sadist.

6gpower Says:

Mar 3, 2012 - I don't understand what a name has t do with anything. If it is what the creator like, then so be it. You like what you like and if no one questions it, cool. If someone does, you will have your turn at bat to state your case. Over all, if it sucks, the world will rename it without hesitation..

Mar 10, 2012 - Check out an amazing unbelievable great guitarist Luke Hamrock he is incredible!

Mar 14, 2012 - Can somebody tell me what that guitar is please? Too small for an ES-125T I think?

Frapzoid Says:

Mar 15, 2012 - I was wondering the same thing

JonP1961 Says:

Apr 24, 2012 - A song is plenty without vocals.

seth3556r Says:

May 8, 2012 - You obviously didn't read my previous conversation with the trolls on this page.

JonP1961 Says:

May 8, 2012 - Actually I did. I happen to disagree with the requirement you impose on a song's title, or rather on the artist.

seth3556r Says:

May 8, 2012 - I sorry I can't help you with that. If I wrote an instrumental piece called the "My Father", though not having one... and then write it in E Harmonic Minor without lyrics.... it would be stupid and pointless, it would have nothing to do with the title. Why not call it what it is... Ballad(what ever track number it is)in E Harmonic Minor.

seth3556r Says:

May 8, 2012 - Yes, that's right. This is a public forum so I'm just stating opinion. I just think a subject name is odd for an instrumental piece. Like Joe Satch writing his music and naming it without singing about it. lol like "Flying in a Blue Dream" without lyrics you would think its just good music but you wouldnt know the name or its purpose, if he had lyrics and you didn't know the title you would have an idea that the song is talking about a dream. thats pretty much what i meant
