Simple :-) Yes, the music industry is a money-hungry beast that's bad to be bone (literally), but AT LEAST we have free HD clips here, right? Without VEVO, YouTube would've been gone already, because they couldn't come up with a proper monetizing and revenue plan. VEVO offered full artist video's in exchange for (part of) the revenue made from videos. Seems like a great deal to me!

It's interesting for the artist, for youtube and VEVO does all the dirty work by connecting labels, managers, promoters and endless amounts of copyright laws into one viewable HD video,... free for the viewer. This just wouldn't have been possible with VEVO, simple.
